[edit] Using Show Preview
Hello Palaroncini Larry, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep recent changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, — Defender1031*Talk 17:30, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- Dag Yo! Thanks for the tip i guess that would be a good idea! New to this and kind of trying out diffrent things! ~Palaroncini Larry!
- Totally cool. I'm aware that it's not always obvious to new users how things are run. Welcome to the wiki, by the way. Feel free to ask me for help on my talk page if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help. Also, when writing talk posts, it helps if you sign your posts at the end using 4 tildes (~~~~). It lets people know who said what and when, and provides an automatic link to your user page. Hope that helps. — Defender1031*Talk 17:37, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for the tip! I was just about to ask you how you sign your comments. thanks a pantload! BTW how do i autoconferm so i can upload images? Palaroncini Larry 17:43, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- That'll happen automatically when you've been around for long enough (30 days if I recall correctly). Also, it appears you entered something into your user preferences other than your user name. Signatures must contain your username or something which directly implies your username. See HRWiki:Signature and Help:Signature for more info. — Defender1031*Talk 17:49, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- Dang! you guys are fast! Thanks for the many tips! one more question! when my user name pops up on discussin or talk can i make it a cool color or with an awsome font like yours or somthing? or is that only for admins? "Palaroncini Larry is great" 17:57, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- How to do that is explained on the pages I linked to. Everyone is welcome to have a signature within the guidelines. For the record, I'm not an admin, just a user with a very long experience here. — Defender1031*Talk 18:30, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- Oh ok! cool cool depressing Cool. Thanks Palaroncini Larry 20:03, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- another question how can i help the wiki. i use it pretty much every day but most of the time i only have a dial-up connection. if its best for me to just enjoy the wiki and keep my mouth shut I am truly OK with that, but if i can help the epic wiki i will be happy to. Palaroncini Larry 22:29, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- At the moment, we don't have much going on, due to TBC having been on extended hiatus for the past couple years. Mostly it's just maintenance, monitoring RC for spam, spelling corrections when you come across them, that sort of thing. I long for the days when I could have given you about 30 suggestions without even trying, but alas, business is slow these days. — Defender1031*Talk 00:36, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- alright cool. sort of. it is sad indeed that TBC have been not releasing new toons. thanks for the anwser! but just remember "Someday, when you least expect it..." Palaroncini Larry 17:22, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- One more little thing: if you want to respond to a talk post, put a colon in front of it. This will indent the response. This works as many times as you need: for example, this response has eleven colons in front of it, which means the response is indented eleven times, and it's the
eleventhtwelfth thing that's been said in this thread. It just makes it easier to follow when certain things happened in a conversation. The Knights Who Say Ni

[edit] Your signature
Hate to break it to you, but your signature as it stands right now goes against our guidelines. It has to be a text version and it has to link to your user space. What you are allowed to do: upload just the "L" in the same filename; use the same font you used in the picture version for the rest of the words, inserting the L in both places; and it will look the same (except that the A's immediately after each L won't be quite as close to the L's as they are now). Give it a try. The Knights Who Say Ni

- Actually, you CAN get them to overlap like that if you use fome relative positioning action (check out my trogday sig for an example). I'm willing to help with that if you want. — Defender1031*Talk 21:25, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- OK! Thans For the great info! i will see what i Can dew.....um do!

- I DO BELIEVE I HAVE FIGURED IT OUT!!!! Thanks so much for letting me know about the problem! if there is another problem please tell me! DeFender1031, while working on my Signature I took your advise and Looked at your trogday signature and used some of your text to Make mine! IF that is NOT OK please tell me!

- He told you about it because it was okay. Incidentally, I didn't mean it was impossible to do it, since I remembered his Trogday sig. What I said was: if you do it that way, the A's won't be as close to the L's as they were in the original picture. it's just that it requires a sizable knowledge of code that I wouldn't have recommended to new users. But, you made the first L look the way you wanted it to. The second L still has a good bit of space before the A; maybe try doubling the number you used there? Keep on tranglin',
