A Guide into a Magical World

[edit] Welcome Strongsad713!

My name is Dacheatbot and welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! We're glad to have you as a member. If you need any help, feel free to ask anyone on the welcoming committee. You can also post questions on the FAQ talk page.

Here are some tips to get you started:

  • If you need general information, editing tips, or answers to frequently asked questions, check out the help page.
  • Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards.
  • Read up on the rules and guidelines for your user space.
  • If you're not sure what you can do to help out, head over to The Stick.
  • To practice editing, go over to the sandbox.
  • When you post a comment on a talk page you should sign it: just type 3 ~s to get a sig, 4 ~s to get your sig and time, and 5 ~s to just get the time. So 3 ~s = Strongsad713, 4 ~s = Strongsad713 17:48, 17 February 2019 (UTC), and 5 ~s = 17:48, 17 February 2019 (UTC).
  • If you're looking for more community interaction, you can also register over at our forum.
  • I strongly sugguest visting The Chat Channel, It's a great place to come and chat and get quick answers to your questions.
  • If you have a problem I cannot answer or help with (like a troll or vandal), there is a sysop or administrator that most likely can.
  • If you need help not on the HRWiki:Help page, leave a note on my talk page
  • Above all, be sure to be bold (and maybe italic...(maybe both!)) and have fun!

Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information is helpful, and that you'll have a good experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community.

Sincerely,

[edit] Show Preview

Just a tip for future reference for when you're messing with your user page: when you're editing, there is a "Show preview" button next to the "Save page" button - if you use that, you can see what you've changed without saving the page, which is easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and it doesn't fill up Recent changes with your edits. By the way, to get an external link to work, just type the url: http://www.somesite.com/ or use one set of square brackets if you want to change the link text: [http://www.somesite.com/ Check it out!]... you might like to check out the links in DaCheatBot's welcome message, particularly Help:Contents and HRWiki:FAQ, they have lots of info like this. --phlip TC 02:48, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
