== Livemark feed failed to load? ==

Why is it, that every time I try and add the Recent changes RSS feed to my live bookmarks in Firefox, that I get the error "livemark feed failed to load"? I tried in Google Desktop Search Beta 2, and got an "unsupported web clip version" error. If I try and open the RSS feed with Firefox (not adding to livemarks) I get this text (without viewing the source):

:The issue appears to be the blank line at the top of the document. This is not allowed according to the standard.
:The problem should be fixable by editing index.php - exactly where is a little hard to say without the file, but it should be fairly easy to find. I can't say if this is a bug in MediaWiki, but the current Wikipedia feed *does* validate, so if it is, it should be fixed in a later version (1.6 at the latest).

Hey, I was wondering if it is appropriate for the fanstuff wiki's timezone to be UTC, not MDT. UTC is used on the knowledge-base, so wouldn't it make sense for the default timezone of the fanstuff wiki to be UTC? This would change the time displayed in the history for logged out users, and also would change the timezone used in signatures for all users. == Hosting ==

Are the two wikis still hosted on Goleman Networks? Because in the source code of any wiki page there used to be a message saying something like "Served by Goleman Networks in 0.22 secs" but now says "Served by fsserver1.fellowsites.org in 0.22 secs". If its hosted by Fellowsites, the message in the footer on the knowledge-base and fanstuff wiki be changed. :Well, it didn't work for me, but with a seek bar I was able to have a look. My guess is it is just something a fan made, not something TBC made. Which means it never got "censored". ::It is indeed fanstuff.  I managed to get it before the bandwidth was exceeded.  It doesn't have any voices, just a song by evanescence and the names of presumably the people who made it.  It uses the original graphics from H*R toons and is meant to be watched inside an HTML page much like an SBEmail.  It is, of course 4MB in size despite its short playing time (possibly from the song it plays). I know what this is all about. In the times of the .net forum, one user made a page about Strong Bad Matrix. He had all the plot figured out and everything. He made the treiler for it using  TBC's own graphics, not his own. The guy got an email from their legal edviser asking him to make his own toon fron scratch, or stop everything. After that, the story got all blurry (No one wanted to talk about it). But I do know that some T-shirts with Strong Bad Matrix logo were supposed to be sold, and that raised more legal issues. ::You never know, but I really doubt someone will pay for a domain for you. I think for now you should stay with what you've got. As long as your website works and people can use it, it can grow really big. If the site becomes really succesful, popular and have heaps of content, you can then think about getting a domain name and maybe paying for hosting. Remember that the H*R Wiki was originally just a subdomain of Joey's site (hrwiki.joeyday.com), which meant he didn't really pay anything extra for the wiki at first. Start small. I just happening to notice while trying to find a really good way to explain to a friend just what a wiki exactly is that if you search the web for the word "wiki" on Yahoo! in suggestions for refining your search near the top of the returns page, '''this very wiki''' is listed second and third! ==Wikipedia==
You wikipedia link system is slightly broken. When you write [[Wikipedia:Homestar Runner]] it points to http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestar_Runner instead of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestar_Runner. It still works but eventually wikipedia may stop this workaround which so far is being preserved for histrorical reasons. Some discussion occured a couple of weeks ago about whether the old links should be done away with (they decided against it). Your site ought to change to the newer version just in case. [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2005-10-24/Multilingual redirects]] might be enlightening (that's a lot of wikipedia:'s in a row). (~~some guy at wikipedia who also happens to watch HR~~)

==Build a Timeline?==

I got an idea for a page: a complete timeline of every toon. When I first discovered H*R, I wanted to take it chronologically (which helps; e.g. you meet Homsar in the email that explains his name). However, I did it by simply going through the toons one genre at a time, overlooking some, then going through the sbemails from bottom to top. It would be nice to have something that showed where the toons fell in the chronology of sbemails. Aside from helping anyone who might be trying to do the same thing I did, it would be helpful to tell at a glance what predated what.

One difficulty is that some toons are currently labelled only with the month and year, or even just the year, but I imagine some detective work could figure those out.

::::Yea, sadly that was the best I could come up with for certain (I used [http://www.livejournal.com/community/homestar_runner/2003/ livejournals], and a bit of [http://www.fark.com/ fark]). The one thing further we could do, would be to estimate many of the other toons and main pages, such as the Halloween toons being C. October 31st, 2000, ect. But for those, I think it would be best to use C, to denote 'circa' or 'about', and perhaps B and A for before and after a certain date, if that becomes applicable. That too though, could only go so far. We won't be able to guess everything, just anything reasonable, probably mostly holiday toons. I'll try and get on it later if I have time, you're welcome to start it up too if you want. 2002 and 2003 are pretty much totally finished, maybe a bit of 2002 could be done, but 2001 and 2000 could use some guestimation. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 07:15, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

===Live Journals Side Note:===
If you go to the livejournals site, you'll notice the topics and subjects slowly grow over 2001, 2002, and 2003, but by 2004 they start to shrink again, around the time of the Wiki's creation. Now they're just about back to the state they were in in 2002. It could just be a coincidence, or the Wiki may have just about replaced the use of the livejournals site. Also if you look at any subjects about 'what happened when' type questions, they usually end with something along the lines of 'you know we have a wiki... Right?' Although it does still have a nice exchange of various H*R type avatars and stuff, and cool news such as [http://www.ccawards.com/2004.htm this]. I even found Tom making a visit over there, letting them know about our 2005 pledge drive. Anyways, there's my big contribution to discussion for the day.
