'''Big Knives''' are one of the oldest recurring items in the [[Homestar Runner (Flash cartoon)|Homestar universe]].  This inside joke's first appearance was in the [[Theme Song Video]], but was first featured by name in the [[Painting of a guy with a big knife]], drawn by [[Strong Bad]] in the email [[i love you]].  Since then, big knives have appeared in numerous toons and emails &mdash; Strong Bad seems to have an unexplained affinity for them.
