Hi Guys. Did anyone else find it ironic that the symbol for Commandos in the Classroom features Reynold while in the 'toon he's being taught. I understand how he was probably selected for his nerdy "intelligent" look but... The King

However, in one interview (I don't know which one), TBC said that their intended audience was young adults due to all the 80's references. Despite this, I'm not denying that the TBC would know that part of their audience is composed of children.---RatherAnnoying

The "You stupid assholes" thing isn't that bad, I don't think TBC intentionally kept that in there. They probably didn't notice. And on the Dvd "Assholes" is edited out.

Kuh. Well, as long as the discussion's still going on two years later, I might as well put my two cents in. Personally, I oppose teen pregnancy, but when Reynold said he wanted to go off and "get teen pregnant", it made me laugh!! The entire cartoon made me laugh. It was meant to be FUNNY, parodying those videos everyone forced on us in elementary school. (They showed us a video on AIDS in fifth grade. I didn't understand a WORD of it.) TBC aren't the type to try to deliberately offend people. You want some of that, go watch South Park or Family Guy or some dumb show like that. --Kiwi 12:49, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

::::: I realize this discussion is years old, but for anyone running into it now, let me say: an atheist saying it's OK to diss religious figures is not AT ALL comparable to a man saying it's OK to insult women. Men still have more power than women in our society, so for them to decide what women should or shouldn't be offended by is itself a way of keeping women down. Atheists, on the other hand, have very little power in our society. George Bush Sr. once remarked that atheists shouldn't be considered citizens because "this is one nation under God." It hasn't been that long since the McCarthy era, in which anyone proclaiming atheism was automatically accused of being a traitor. Just something worth considering. As for the "Holy Crap" song, we seem to have forgotten that Strong Bad is a Bad Guy. He also likes to beat people up, remember?

::::I think that, yes, shorts were short and toons were long until the release of "cool things," when TBC decided that it would be a waste making 2 minute shorts, since everything else is about 4 minutes long. So they decided to change the definition. - Joshua

Hey, I didn't catch this until today, as I only watched Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (and a very poor version at that) today, but isn't Dr. J's theory that we all have a good and an evil half to our brain, and by seperating them the bad could be removed? --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)

:Could be, (I have no clue), but even if it was, I doubt it would be a referance to this. Maybe, though.

::Okay, just checking, I wasn't sure. Yeah, it probably isn't a reference. Just coincidence.--אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)

The Sandlot Reference
-

-
Did anyone else think that the shot after Fightgar imagines the Blue Lazers as pizza with Reynold wearing the baseball hat was a reference to the Sandlot? It makes sense, the inexperienced and naive kid who has to be taught everything. In the movie, "Smalls" doesn't know what smores are, this is the scene TBC must be referencing to since Reynold admits that he hasn't had pizza before. :That's an interesting theory, and you may be right, but I think it's enough of a stretch not to be included on the article. — It's dot com 16:26, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
