Actually Taranchula's music does fit comfortably into the realm of death metal. Death Metal's roots weren't all about being the fastest band on the planet. There was actually a lot of early Black Sabbath, Venom and Celtic Frost influences when reporters first started using the death metal term, (but they weren't the fastest or heaviest bands on the planet). However, Slayer does credit much of their heavier faster music to punk, so the connection is valid if misunderstood. And, remember this is parody... not mocking.

Does anyone else think the email song in this one sounds like that 50 Cent song, The Club, or something?--[[User:Marvelrulez|Marvelrulez]]

-
: No. I think it sounds like "United" by Judas Priest, who are a squealy band like which Strong Bad advises us aspiring death metal types not to sound.

-

-
But in the commentary they even state that it's a very hiphoppy intro to a death metal email [[User:Marvelrulez|Marvelrulez]] 18:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

I made an animated gif out of the creeping rusty meat for an LJ userpic, and someone said it was from a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_%C5%A0vankmajer Jan Švankmajer] film. Anyone know if this is the case, or if TBC might be fans of the guy?

: Their voices are all pretty much indistinguishable. Their emotions can be heard through their voices, and frequently not all four of them have the same emotion at the same time, but that's it. --{{User:Jay/sig}} 16:06, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

== Limozeen becoming annoying to Strong Bad? ==

-

-
This is the first instance I've seen where Strong Bad isn't happy to see a  member of the band Limozeen. True he was bobbing his head to the song, but he seemed to not want to spend time with Larry. This might be for a few reasons, pehaps suggesting that Limozeen haven't been busy since the 80's (Guitar Hero suggests they are from the 80's) Considering that both in cartoons and commentaries Strong Bad has always given praise to the band and it's members (Monster Truck, Best Thing, Coloring, Concert) it seems unusual that he's disinterested to see Larry here. Does Larry have nothing better to do? He even prepares a song for the sbemail.

== Possible Popeye the Movie reference? ==

-

-
When Strong Bad says, "I'm no geographist, but... " that could be a reference to Popeye the Movie, when Popeye sings "I am what I am". Several of the lines or lyrics sounds very much like this.

"I'm not a doctor, but I knows when I'm losin' me patients."

It may not be true, but it seems like the Chaps and my family have a lot in common when it comes to 80s pop culture.

::I can't speak for the community, but I will say that I think "last time" facts are rarely worth inclusion. The fact that they are subject to being made out-of-date on a regular basis not only creates the possibility for additional work for us, but it makes the facts less interesting, in my opinion. The exceptions to this would be cases in which we're talking about the last occurrence of something that is clearly out of date today, that is to say, an element of TBC's older style that is no longer in use. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 06:25, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

== Drum or Guitar? ==

-

-
First time ever posting to a wiki, so sorry if I muck this up, but this has been bugging me...

-

-
In the transcript, it says that Strong Bad is imitating drum sounds, but I had always been under the impression that it was guitar noises. This makes more sense with his later comment, as a quadruple bass pedal is something that exists in Guitars - though the explanations section says it does not exist for drums. It would also allude to the last time Strong Bad made instrument noises in sbemail 36, Guitar. If he plays guitar as he alledges in that email, then a quadruple bass pedal is something he could reasonably consider getting?

-

-
This theory is somewhat shot in the foot by the fact that those are definitely drums in the scene before, but I thought I'd add to the discussion and let someone more competent than me find a solution. {{unsigned|73.214.100.26|08:17, 25 June 2016}}
