Could I ask you a favor, Kai lyn? If you've ever seen the OS-tans or Wikipe, you'll see that HRWiki desperately needs an adorably cute anime girl mascot. I know it probably won't be official, but you've always wanted to see what your favorite knowledge base would look like as an OS-tan, right? <small>Okay, maybe you haven't. I'm wierd that way.</small> Anyway, since I specialize in the field of anime drawing, I took time to draw a picture of HRWiki-tan! She's not finished yet, but once I get her done I wanted to post her on the main page to see what people thought of her, just for fun. However, could you look at the drawing first to see if I should change anything? Thanks in advance, - 23:48, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

:I'm glad you went in and fixed those links for me, 'cause I've never even heard of OS-pe-tan-wiki things. They're prooty cute. I'm not too up on my anime, but I like a couple of those shows (Full Metal Alchemist, Wolf's Rain, um, The Avatar, but I don't think that's real anime). I was even one of those people who pronounced "manga" as "MAG-na" for a time ... Oh well...A LOT of my friends are wicked anime-freaks, (not that that's relevant at all). Ya, I could take a look-sy for ya... Um, on your page/talk page? 00:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

::Just remember that MAG-na is one letter off from Mag-MA, which is what begins shooting out of an anime freak's nose if you say it like that one...more...time!! Fortunately for you and your health, I'm not that furious when people pronounce the glorious Japanese words wrong, and simply correct them. I'll put the picture up on my talk page tommorow, I hope. And BTW, Avatar is American-made anime, but it still counts. ^_~ - 00:55, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

::::::Aw &mdash; so cute! (I wish I could draw cartoons like that!) I love the blue hair &mdash; that's priceless!!! Yup; I approve: don't change a thing, babe. The stars (Homestar Runner) in her hair are a nice touch. One question though (and I'm not being rude here, I just want to clarify): her right arm... Um... a fuzzy  arm warmer perhaps? 00:49, 24 February 2007 (UTC) ...... (Oh nooooo! I just realized &mdash; I just did a <big>TON</big> of work on the Instruments page, pressed the  "Show preview" button, saw that "New messages" heading, AND CLICKED IT!!!! AW MAN!!! I'm sooo stupid!!! Well, that's a tad depressing... {moans} ... {smiles} Nevertheless Brightstar, nice pic!)

Nice pic Brightstar! Except for the logo on her hair and the stars, I don't really get hot this represent the wiki. Could you please explain? 02:19, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

:Okay here, let me explain. First, on the right arm I accidentally used a marker that was too thick before I realized that I had a smaller one to use. My mistake. :-( The logo on her bottom braid is, very small, H*R and the stars were for just what Kai lyn said, HomeSTAR Runner. Three Homestar faces are on her outfit, the loop braid and the boots; the body of the boots represents Strong Bad and she's wearing a Homestar shirt. Her hair and ribbons are the main colors of the HRWiki site, blue and white. The skirt represents bees, which the HRWiki users act a lot like (working together for a common goal, honey or info about H*R, and delivering a quick sting to trolls).  I just did whatever for her arms. The utility belt has a badge that says "IP", for her to use when she's not logged in, an easter egg, and a book of references. She also holds a notebook with all of HRWiki's articles in it. The hairstyle doesn't really apply to anything, I just made it up and have used it on three characters now. Oh yes, and please pardon the fact that I can't draw hands. - 03:08, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

::Cool, (background info much appreciated &mdash; Strong Bad BOOTS!!! Awiiight)! Wow, I can tell you worked really hard on this, Brightstar! Great jorb! You've got my vote, babe (whatever that may entail)! 21:44, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey it's and I made the new inconsistency. I was wondering where to put the blue ones as an inconsistency though. 22:44, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Well, you are obviously monoriting recent changes as I am (not a bad thing, a very good thing). I think that even upon possibility it should be suggested that Charles being Gunhaver's name and author of Oliver Twist is the same and that this is significant. Why, I believe that it is less likely that the shark eating the guitarist in "Virus Alert" ("Wierd" Al) is a reference to homestarrunner.com, but it is still on this website.

I hope you agree, 23:25, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

:Hi wicked-cool-user-name'd-person! About the "Inconsistency" page edit I made: first off, I can see why anyone'd put The Blue Ones on there. But; it's common for cartoons that usually clothe their characters in the same outfits every single episode to, (every once in a while), deck out their characters in different apparel for one episode only, (for a specific joke, or whatever). The "inconsistencies" on that page, I believe, should be restricted to "Goofs" on part of the Brothers Chaps, not whatever shtick is going on in one toon.  Actually, there are some other points on that page which I don't think truly belong there, (but it's SOOO hard to tell... Maybe I'll visit its talk page soon or something). This's just me talking, mind you; (and lets face it, man; what do I know anydangoldway!?!?!)

:With regard to the "Charles Dickens" fact: Good observation, but I believe the name "Charles" followed with the appearance of li'l Oliver Smidgen was just a coincidence. Perhaps if that fact were rewritten to say maybe something like:

-

-
instead of:<br>

-
*Gunhaver's name might be Charles because Charles Dickens wrote Oliver Twist.

-

-
try:<br>

-
*After Blue Laser calls Gunhaver "Charles", Oliver Smidgen, an allusion to the character Oliver Twist, appears. The revealing of Gunhaver's apparent first name with the immediate arrival of Oliver Smidgen may be a tribute to the author of the novel Oliver Twist; Charles Dickens.

Actually, (and I hope I'm not coming off too big-headed here), that sounds prooty good! I dunno; it could still use a reword I think, but that fact doesn't sound too far-fetched now that I think of it. I'll put my version on the page, and see what others think, (though it still may have been just a coincidence). Nice to have you on my talk page! See ya 'round the wiki! 01:18, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey Katelyn. Thanks for of the span tag in that code. Regarding your edit summary: It's pretty much always okay to fix broken code (especially on high-visibility pages), so if you see something that needs fixing, even if it's in someone else's signature, go ahead and fix it. High fives, and keep on tranglin'! &mdash; It's dot com 23:11, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

:Thanks Dot Com! Ya, I wasn't sure if editing someone else's sig was okay (I sort of equated it with editing someone's user page I guess), but I figured someone'd warn me if it wasn't considered legit. 01:18, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

::Well, if someone is having a problem with their user page, you can even help them out and edit their user page for them. It's something you don't see very often, but it happens. See our user space page for more info. &mdash; It's dot com 04:06, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
