So if you're not new, feel free to punch me in the face and DELETE this, but if you are new, I would suggest reading this (when I was new, I read it, and now I'm cool and popular!). STUFF help

Hey Tim. It's a goal of mine to make the STUFF instructions as easy as possible for everyone to understand, and so I'm interested in your feedback: Were my instructions on Jay's page helpful? I know you haven't had another chance to STUFF a fact yourself, but you can use the sandbox to test things in the meantime if you want. If there's anything that's confusing, let me know, so that it can be reworded. Thanks. (By the way, I'm the one who STUFF'd your fact for you.) Hey Tim. It's Dot com again. I think you've got a good fact over at STUFF, but I wanted to discuss the revision a little. The quote is "a free cup of ice with purchase of a deluxe cup of ice of equal or lesser value."

• If Bubs is not willing to give a deluxe cup as the free cup of ice, then he doesn't ever have to honor the offer, which is what your original wording says.
• On the other hand, if you buy a deluxe cup and Bubs is willing to give a deluxe cup as your free cup of ice, then the offer works, because the cups are of equal value. It's the only way the offer would work, and so that's what the revision says.

Do I think Bubs would give a deluxe cup as the free cup? No, I don't. After all, this is the guy who charges you five dollars just for saying thank you after you buy something. But I can't know that for sure. The revision takes both of the above possibilities into consideration, which is why I support the revision. — It's dot com 15:27, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Yes, I agree with you. i didn't at first when i was looking over STUFF this morning, but I misunderstood, that's why i reverted my own edits. Sorry about the confusion. Ju Ju Master

I went ahead and removed the extra bit you added to the revision. The main reason was that it added unnecessary speculation. Also, minor wording and spelling fixes are allowed, but you can't make such substantial additions or alterations to an item as that.

The instructions state that only the bottommost accept vote counts, so I have removed the upper one. Please review my edits and make any fixes, if necessary. I'm sorry for any confusion. Overall, this was a good catch! Good prize! If it's accepted (which my early guess is that it will be), then you'll deserve combolations for finding it. — It's dot com 19:41, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)
