There have been numerous references to The Olympics in the Homestar Runner universe. It actually has some historical significance, as the Original Book was created while Mike Chapman and Craig Zobel had jobs in the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Appearances
- Under Fan Stuff, there is a picture of Homestar as speed skater Apollo Ohno. The comment reads "I didn't watch much winter olympics but Stephanie sure did!"
- 3 Times Halloween Funjob — The Cheat dresses up as Izzy, the mascot of the 1996 Olympics.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2 — Strong Bad tells Marzipan that she should get a cable TV subscription that includes the Olympic Triplecast, which was an extention of NBC's Olympic coverage.
- Teeny Tiny Girl Squad — After Tompkins "dies somehow" his torso, legs and head are seen on a podium and the caption reads "torso takes the silver".
