Hello. Thanks for letting me know about the [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Talk:Strong_Bad_Email#Redirects discussion] regarding deleted redirects of the first two Strong Bad Emails. I was previously unaware of the accusations by Jay against me. By the way, may I call you IDC? It's an acronym of your username if you wouldn't mind me referring you by it. Thanks again. {{User:The Paper/sig}} 18:45, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)

:I don't think he was accusing you, just perhaps mistaken. I alerted you to the discussion because I figured it pertained to you and therefore you could tell us why you thought it was better not to have the redirects. But if it wasn't you, then, obviously, you can't. Ah, well. I think the redirects are going to go forward (if E.L. Cool or others are still up to it). [edit] it's "Dot com"

Hello. Thanks for letting me know about the discussion regarding deleted redirects of the first two Strong Bad Emails. I was previously unaware of the accusations by Jay against me. By the way, may I call you IDC? It's an acronym of your username if you wouldn't mind me referring you by it. Thanks again. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 18:45, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I don't think he was accusing you, just perhaps mistaken. I alerted you to the discussion because I figured it pertained to you and therefore you could tell us why you thought it was better not to have the redirects. But if it wasn't you, then, obviously, you can't. Ah, well. I think the redirects are going to go forward (if E.L. Cool or others are still up to it). As for a short form of my username, when people ask what it is, I say: it's Dot com. 19:26, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Baseball fan!

Hey Dot com! Are you a baseball fan?--bkmlb

I should probably add this to my user page sooner or later, but I'm a huge fan of baseball, and Major League Baseball in particular, and more specifically the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. I've got my trusty Rangers ballcap on right now, as always. I've been to several games this year and plan on more. I don't live in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, otherwise I would have season tickets at Ameriquest Field. I make up for it by keeping track of the team on TV, radio, and at mlb.com using Gameday, Gameday Audio, and MLB.TV. I mainly follow the AL (my second-favorite club is the Yankees), but I do like some NL teams: the Nationals, the Astros, the Mets, and (sorry) the Cubs, to name a few. Tonight, as it turns out, the Rangers topped the Orioles, 4–2, in Baltimore. Yay! — It's dot com 03:32, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Cool! You're only the second user I've heard of that is a baseball fan (other than me, there are two I've heard of). If you're not a huge cub fan then you won't bother me--and if you're not drunk, I'll be fine.--bkmlb

Not a huge Cub fan, but I do pull for them as the perennial underdogs, especially now that the Red Sox have won it all. Even being a Yankee fan, when Boston was able to overcome a 3–0 deficit, when in Game 4 all Rivera had to do was put out the side in the ninth... well, at that point I was pleased to see the BoSox finally rid themselves of that blasted curse! (I can't remember, who was it they beat in the World Series? ;) ) — It's dot com 14:24, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Yeah. I know, the Cardinals lost. I went to game four of the World Series, I was sad *sniffle*. I remember there were lots of Red Sox fans around us. One guy was talking to his wife on the phone the whole time. When the Sox won, my dad asked this red sox fan next to us, "What will you do now? This is your whole Idenity." And the red sox fan said back, " What year is it 86 years from now?" But the cubs haven't won the series since 1908!--bkmlb

Yes, I do, but I don't much use it. I reserved the same username as here on the knowledge base so that I'd have it if I ever wanted to comment on anything there, and also so no one could impersonate me (not like anybody would, but you never know). — It's dot com

Well, I've found that around here, your time zone has very little bearing on when you edit the wiki. I like knowing where people are from because it's fun to realize that all the quirky little usernames can be traced to real people out there (who themselves are at least as quirky). As my user page says, I'm from Texas, so I'm in the Central time zone (I'm discounting the fact that the absolute western tip of the state (El Paso) is in the Mountain time zone). Thanks for letting me know where you're from! — It's dot com 04:23, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

Hehe, cool! I once knew someone from El Paso ... a long time ago. Now, I'm curious -- have you by chance compiled some sort of table and/or computer generated map of the locations of all the wiki-pedians you have interviewed :) --Stux 05:18, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

Wow. I love that format! Keep on... making-great-stuff! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:33, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Quite impressive. Looks snazzy, and loads alot faster. Now we've just gotta convince Tom... Thunderbird 08:45, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
This is the greatest thing ever. Would you mind terribly if I bit your style and did a similar thing? :) Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 19:35, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
With a comment like that, how could I possibly refuse? You are more than welcome to take my coolness and rework it to achieve your own brand of awesomeness. (Never mind all that GFDL nonsense.) :) — It's dot com 19:56, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Most of it?

Query: Why do you only own "most of" the figurine set 1? Don't use that old excuse of "oh, my dog ate Marzipan!" :p --Jay (Gobble) 03:54, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

My friend gave me them for Christmas... except he apparently gave some of them to his brothers first. Hmm... Well, he did at least assure me that I got the best ones of the bunch. — It's dot com 04:10, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
Oookay. Which ones didn't you get? (Looks up at all fourteen Homestar Runner figures - from both sets - currently sitting above his computer.) --Jay (Gobble) 04:12, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh, I knew you would ask that, but I'm really comfy here on the couch right now. :) I know for sure I have Homestar and Strong Bad, and Pom Pom I think. I don't have The Cheat or the KOT. — It's dot com 04:15, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
KoT was the second set anyway. Sucks you wouldn't get The Cheat, though. --Jay (Gobble) 04:16, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
Aren't you supposed to get those free when you buy stuff? Don't you have like every single DVD and CD ever. Like ever. Ok so at least all the H*R related ones...--Stux 17:25, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, I got these years ago, back when you didn't get them free with everything. — It's dot com 17:42, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Favorite character

Who is your favorite H*R character?SPONGE 001 19:18, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

I really like Homestar when he knows what's going on (less so when they play up the dim angle). I like The Cheat's attitude. Blue Laser Commander (especially his frustrations) consistently makes me laugh. — It's dot com 20:15, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Broken link

Just letting you know, the link near the bottom of your page that is supposed to lead to the discussion concerning the email blockquote styles is broken. That discussion was archived, so it should link to Talk:Strong Bad Email/Archive#New email format... instead. See ya! Has Matt? (talk) 13:20, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Fixed. Thanks! — It's dot com 00:22, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] hAcKEr

Why did you write hAcKEr in binary in your User Box? Oh well... You don't have to answer. By the way, people say your cool. I guess I agree. Steve 22:01, 22 April 2006

I wrote hAcKEr, eh Steve? Heh, that's been there for months, and to the best of my knowledge you're the first one to decode it. (If you're not the first to decode it, then you're certainly the first to say anything.) I write extensions and make changes to the MediaWiki software at the source-code level, which is called hacking. I am a MediaWiki hacker for this wiki. Thanks for noticing and posting! Talk atcha later! — It's dot com 03:12, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dot com & Tom

Do both of you guys live in New York, as both of you were at a Yankees game? 72.150.230.125 01:40, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

No, I'm from Texas (see my user page for more info). The cap I have on is the official hat of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. I was in the Tri-State area for three games that particular week: starting with Mets–Phillies (in Philadelphia), then Yankees–A's (pictured), and finishing with Rangers–Yankees (which I am pleased to report Texas won, 4–2). — It's dot com 01:50, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Wow, so you were right near me and I didn't know it. (I'm about 45 minutes or so west of Philly with good traffic.) You shoulda stopped by. ;)
Also, I jus' have to say it, coz you know someone's thinking it: as one collective entity, you make It's Dot Tom. =3 --DorianGray
You see, Dorian? That joke was already thought of on IRC. Why won't you log there some time? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:19, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Finals

Do you watch the Dallas Mavericks?--H*Bad 14:26, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

I checked in on them four or five times yesterday [Game 1 of the NBA Finals, for those reading along] during the game, and I was happy they won. I'll probably see more of the later games in the series. — It's dot com 15:12, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Also, their next game is Sunday, Sunday, Someday. Ok, bye.--H*Bad 15:14, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Collectible Figurines

I'm kind of curious about your userbox that says "This user owns most of Set 1 of the Collectible Figurines." Did you lose some? (Also, happy belated birthday). —Guard Duck talk 03:20, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

No, I never had all of them. See this thread for more. (And thanks!) — It's dot com 03:51, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Oops. Sorry. Should have probably scanned your talk page first. —Guard Duck talk 04:24, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
Oh, it's no problem. With hundreds of threads to choose from, it's easy to miss. — It's dot com 04:45, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
True. Here's to hoping TBC comes out with "Strong Bad Sings & Other Type Hits 2" so you can get a few more archives. (PS: If they actually do, here's to hoping that there are some sloshy songs on it). —Guard Duck talk 04:58, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Archive of your talk

Hey It's dot com! I'm back. Your Australia bud, back. :P Anyways, I gots a question... Why the heck, don't you make an archive of your talk? 245KBS LONG? It nearly freezes my browser! – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 23:38, 16 January 2008 (UTC) P.S. If someone has already asked you this in your talk page, I couldn't find it. (Adds to my point)

EDIT: MAN I FEEL STUPID! It's cause I'm Aussie right? Disregard that question. – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 23:40, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Nah, it's okay. And wouldn't ya know, I'm actually archiving a second time right now! — It's dot com 05:37, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
