I transcribed this e-mail from the Brothers Chaps' recent Georgia Tech visit. It was the best I could do given the quality of the video (which you can download and watch from the above page). I trust that someone will be able to clean this up a lot once the next E-mail DVD comes out, but until then, please enjoy this exciting peek into the next DVD exclusive.

As I was proofreading this page last night — the same concern occurred to me. Especially since something like this has potential to affect (even if minimally) DVD sales. (the whole "why buy the cow if they're giving away the milk for free" argument) Trey56 18:09, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

I understand your concerns. I also had the same thought but finally dismissed it for the following reasons: 1) The Brothers Chaps knew they were being filmed and that the film would be posted online, so if they were worried about information about the e-mail getting out, they would have said something or otherwise not shown the e-mail to the audience. 2) A transcript is no substitute for the cartoon itself. 3) If transcripts of DVD features could impact sales before the DVD is released, they could also impact sales after the DVD is released, since in either case, someone could read the transcript instead of purchasing the DVD. The Wiki has transcripts for the premium content on the other DVDs, yet there's no concern over how those transcripts might affect sales of those DVDs.

That said, I'll leave the decision up to the Wiki Administrators. If they feel that this page should not exist until the Chaps release the next Strong Bad DVD, they can take whatever action they feel is appropriate. No hard feelings on my part.

How about this compromise: the transcript will more or less be included in the GT talk transcript anyway; why not just turn this page into a redirect to Georgia_Tech_-_26_Apr_2007 until strongbad_email.exe Disc Five is released? The information will be preserved in the history page, and we can just restore it at the right time. Trey56 18:34, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

I was wondering about whether this article is OK too. But TBC did show it at a public event, and we can only assume that they knew it was being videotaped and put on the internet for free by the host. In that sense, it's perfectly fine for us to document this toon. And while it's pretty bad business practice to give DVD bonus features away for free, that was TBC's decision. Loafing 21:22, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't think the transcript is a problem, as we routinely transcribe DVD-only content. While this will be on a DVD in the near future, it was part of a presentation that's freely available to the public. It's funny, during the second half of the presentation, TBC show a parts of an as-yet unreleased video they did for TMBG. They muted it, since they figure TMBG wouldn't want the song heard, but Matt says, "We didn't have to sign a non-disclosure agreement or anything."

I think Matt and Mike were very aware the presentation was being recorded (Mike is wearing a microphone) and that it would be made available. I don't think any number of people seeing the transcript at this point would have an affect on DVD sales in the future. -- Tom 01:49, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

I think the Ts on the chalkboard when Coach Z writes them are capital Ts and just look lowercase like the capital Is in AhnbergHand look lowercase. Homestar-Winner (talk) 01:38, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

I think the writing on the chalkboard isn't in any particular font at all. Look at the R's in the image. They're completely different from each other. There's a couple of other differences, but that one is the most visible. It seems TBC just wrote the letters manually. — Has Matt? (talk) 01:49, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, I guess if I squint at it, they kinda look uppercase, but it's their overall design that makes them appear lowercase to me. But I don't care much either way. — Has Matt? (talk) 02:04, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm, I just noticed that the horizontal line is lower on the second and third T, making them look more like lowercase. When I only look at the first T, it looks like uppercase to me. When I only look at the third one, it looks like lowercase to me. Not sure what to make of it. Together with the lowercase i, we could assume that the t's are supposed to be lowercase. I assume that the Zappy XT6 has no article of its own because it might cause a spolier of some sort. If it did have one, it doesn't have to have an image, just look at Jurvy-Skat. What I also noticed is that anything/anyone that appears only once will still have his/her/its own article, like Wilbur or Pom Pom's Hypothetical Family. --Charlie Jr. 22:47, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

When it says "Less Gravelly Voice" I know what that means, but what does it sound like. Like, is there a character with a similar sounding voice? If so, tell me that character.
