[edit] Question

Okay, I don't know under what section I would ask this under so, i'll just ask it here. Question: Why does the clock use military time and why does it start a new day at 8:00 PM (7 PM during daylight savings)? CrabAttack1999 22:45, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

The main reason we use the 24-hour clock (used commonly outside the US, not just in military) is to make it easy and concise to differentiate between 10:00 and 10:00. The new day starts when it's midnight at our servers, which (depending on your Time Zone) could be up to 12 hours off from your local clock. Thanks! Flashfight 23:04, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Understood. CrabAttack1999 18:55, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] What Gives?

Every time I try to send an email to strong bad it gives me and error message saying something about hotmail. I don't even think I use hotmail. And also, what's a "hotmail"? Why won't it just send the message? Why is the internet being so unreliable to me? CrabAttack1999 01:35, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Jeez, calm down man. Now tell me, when did you first notice this? Today? Last month?--Jellote wuz here 21:28, 17 November 2009 (UTC) Thanks for that. See below for more.--Jellote wuz here 22:17, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't know a couple days ago. I tried it before that too, in a time I can't remember when. I just call that some time ago. It said I had to enter my server (something, I can't remember this word) and there was like POP and HOTMAIL. That's all there was, and before I did anything it was on hotmail and I clicked the wrong button. So now, I can't change the server (something). Need a moment, to let my fingers rest. Anyway, that's about it. Some time ago, I never thought sending email would be so difficult. Receiving it isn't. I just doe not understand why it won't work right. I need a better computer. CrabAttack1999 21:58, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Okay, let's see. Perhaps you can look in your settings for a way to change your server. If not, try looking it up on your provider's homepage. They usally have a troubleshooting page. If neither work, maybe call the help desk. I'm not too good at these things, but that may help.
Let's see if that problem is on your end. Send a test email to yourself. If the same error happens, your email (server?) is dysfunctional. If not, then TBC may have a problem on their side. If that the problem is on their side, all we can do is wait. But from the sounds of it, "hotmail" is something on your computer. YOu should try the steps above. I'm sorry if this is no help, but you might as well try it.--Jellote wuz here 22:17, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Okay, I clicked work offline. Then I clicked send and it said it was sent to my outbox and ready to be sent from the SmartZone Communications Center. It said I just go there and find the outbox and then I can find it there ready to be sent. So all I have to do is that. CrabAttack1999 22:28, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Update: I can't find the outbox on the SmartZone Communications Center. My mom said she dosn't even know what an outbox is. There's one major problem with what it told me, there is no outbox on the SmartZone Communications Center. All I have is compose, but I know the address to send. I'm good on computers, but not on computer-related-things like this. I've never sent an email, so I don't know how. All I can do is receive it. This is puzzling. I guess someone else will have to send my message. I really want to see him prove his strength by beating up all the other main characters. Maybe someone else will ask him that. CrabAttack1999 22:54, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Instead of trying to get your mailto links working, why not just write a regular old email and put strongbad@homestarrunner.com into the destination manually? It's much simpler... — Defender1031*Talk 23:08, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
That's what i've been trying to do. It hasen't been working right. CrabAttack1999 23:19, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Wait...hooray! NOW it went through. It took long enough. No I just hope it gets answered. Hopefully it will. I'm pretty sure that's one of the Good emails TBC get. No spelling errors. A great idea. Plus, they haven't made a new sbemail for November yet. So I suppose there haven't been enough good ones. Now to play the waiting game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good luck. Xm (that's supposed to be my hand with fingers crossed. The "X" is the crossed fingers and the "m" is the rest of my hand and fingers. It's the best I could do. I'm not that good at ASCII art). CrabAttack1999 23:29, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
mX Xm to you, too. -132.183.140.236 23:50, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Personal images

Hi, Crab Attack1999. I notice that you currently have three personal immages: File:Crab_Attack1999_ASCII_Lobster.PNG, File:Crab_Attack1999_Honorary_Golden_Lobsta.PNG and File:Lurker_Shark_Attack.jpg. Our policy on personal images allows each user to have only two images and one signature image, so I need you to mark one of those images for deletion. I notice the Golden Lobster one is not in use, so perhaps you could go without that one. Thanks. Heimstern Läufer 05:43, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Alright, let's DELETE that bugger! CrabAttack1999 19:16, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Problem solved. And you can call me Crab Attack or Crabby if you want to. CrabAttack1999 20:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Old Quotes Archive

Would it be okay if I made an archive sub-page for my old quotes? I'd like to know before I make the page, so...can I make an archive sub-page for my old quotes ? CrabAttack1999 23:49, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

I'm not high on the corporate ladder, and you could probably check this to find out what to do, but I find it interesting that you are asking this, and yet your quote sub-section on your page is kinda very, very short. And, you really don't need to ask on two pages about something. Hope that helps, StrongAwesome 03:20, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Oh, just wondering. And the reason I asked on the faq is because nobody was answering here. I dunno, I just thought it would be better than deleting all of my old quotes because, personally, I like most of them and I kinda don't want to delete them so I thought that would be a good idea. Because after a while my page would get really long, so I thought "Maybe an archive would work". CrabAttack1999 03:27, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Hey, a lot of people have long lists. StrongAwesome 03:33, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Okay. I guess you've persuaded me. CrabAttack1999 03:34, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

Hey Crab Attack1999, the images in your signature are too big. Images must be no more than 20 pixels high. Have a look at HRWiki:SignatureLoafing 05:37, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

They should be 20px, that's what I wrote in the code. But just in case, I shrunk the gooblies pictures to 15px. Is that small enough? Or is it still too big? CrabAttack1999 17:52, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Now it's 19 pixels high. The 15px that you specified is the width, not the height! Loafing 05:45, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Fixèd. CrabAttack1999 19:57, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Games in the sandbox

Hey, I wanna talk to you regarding the "contest" you held in the sandbox. The wiki is a knowledge base and not a social community for games and what not. You may hold contests on your userpage every once in a while but the sandbox is for testing wiki syntax. Please understand this and refrain from doing it again please.--Record307 Talk/Contribs 03:22, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Making a Picture Link to a Page

Okay when I did this the first time Homsar it took me like 8 tries for the light blue colored link to go away and for the picture lead to the link. I forget how I did it and now it's doing the same with Homestar. I copied and pasted the URLs just like I'm supposed to and when editing it looks just like the Homsar except with the links for the Homestar page and picture but on the actual page it has the link to the Homestar page in light blue next to the picture with the picture not linking instead of how it's supposed to go. What am I doing wrong? CrabAttack1999 19:17, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit] "Self portrait"

You know, a "self portrait" is a portrait that an artist does of himself. So by calling that picture of Gooblies a self portrait, you are implying that you are the artist. Which I'm pretty sure is not true. --76.189.110.75 04:47, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm not saying I made it, it's just a gag. CrabAttack1999 19:46, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
What he means is that the whole "Self Portrait" thing is Toungue-In-Cheek. C-Son-L Sweaters 19:57, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Blasphemy, this is no place for humor. --76.189.110.75 09:19, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
You're taking it seriously and the point is to not take it seriously. CrabAttack1999 20:07, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
