Jam is often referred to in the Homestar Runner universe. Besides being a fruit preserve, "jam" is most often used by The Brothers Chaps to refer to a song, especially a "number one jam".

- Likewise, Ballad of the Sneak is the "#1 Summer Jam from 1936."
- Everybody Knows It — Puppet Homestar tells The Cheat to "Mash play on that jambox." The Jam Box then reappears in several other toons.
- Puppet Homestar recorded a series of songs with They Might Be Giants, collectively titled "Puppet Jam".
- Email cheatday — Bubs tries to cut demos for two of Strong Bad's songs, the latter of which he calls a good jam.
- In an Easter egg, Bubs and Coach Z cut a demo as the two-o-duo. Coach Z remarks, "I got fresh jams."
- Fish Eye Lens — Coach Z and Strong Bad sing another number one jam for the pyorple.
As A Fruit Preserve

- Email 50 emails — Old-Timey Strong Bad commands The Sneak to steal fresh jam for him.
- Strong Sad's Lament — Strong Sad states that he'll take his washboard and jam with Francis Scott Key instead.
