A new short toon for Decemberween by The Cheat could be classified both as a "Holiday Shorts" and "Powered by the Cheat". I think most people get this, but the tutorial is here for neophytes.

[edit] Full-length category

After taking a look, I'm thinking we might want to have a "Full-Length Toons" category as well. That would allow for every toon to also be in a sub-category. Does that make sense? -- Tom 10:48, 20 Aug 2004 (MST)

I think that makes sense. P.S. have you checked out the Convertulator yet? -- InterruptorJones 10:53, 20 Aug 2004 (MST)
Whuh is the converterator? I assume since I can't see that post, then it's on the mod forum...Anywho...what it it!!??? -- AgentSeethroo 13:01, 20 Aug 2004 (MST)
Oh. Wight. Um, I'll PM all the helpers about it. Hold tight. -- InterruptorJones 13:17, 20 Aug 2004 (MST)

[edit] Category Theory

When applying a category to a page don't include both the parent and the child categories.

Example 1: Given the theoretical category structure

 Toons--> Shorts --> Holiday Shorts

A new short toon for Decemberween would not be classified both as a "Holiday Shorts" and "Toons", Just "Holiday Shorts" is suitable.

However you can categorize in multiple branches of a structure

Example 2: Given the theoretical category structure

 Toons--> Shorts --> Holiday Shorts

  |--->Powered by The Cheat

A new short toon for Decemberween by The Cheat could be classified both as a "Holiday Shorts" and "Powered by The Cheat". I think most people get this, but the tutorial is here for neophytes. Drhaggis 17:36, 19 Sep 2004 (MST)
