The first time I saw the tube socks as a gift, I thought of the final episode of the Cosby Show in which Theo gets tube socks as a gift from Kenny for his graduation.  Not sure if this could be considered a reference, but I can't think of any other pop-culture references to someone getting tube socks as a gift. I just thought I'd mention it.

transcript

If it is still up for grabs I will do the transcript at 1pm eastern time (1 hour). I've never gotten to do one before. I R F 16:53, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Could I get Easter Eggs? I don't really care if I don't, however. Bluebry 16:54, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
It's still up for grabs. Put up {{transcriptinprogress}} if you start. —BazookaJoe 16:55, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Ima work on Easter Eggs, so, I'd REALLY appriciate it if no one editied that section. Bluebry 16:57, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
I couldn't find any Easter eggs, Bluebry... —BazookaJoe 17:10, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah...I noticed... Bluebry 17:16, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey, is anyone doing the Cast/place thing? Bluebry 17:17, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey Invisible Robot Fish, I got started on the transcript before I read the above message (I couldn't figure out why no one had started — sorry). It's 1PM EST now, do you want to do the other half? Trey56 18:06, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Adding in this possible goof

  • During old timey short, the rat pile moves and gets lighter after homestar says "the most sanitary time of year"

I am unsure if intentional but the position of camera stays the same --68.47.9.181 17:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

It's most likely intentional. Old-Timey cartoons are riddled with characters and props moving, showing primitive video editing. - Joshua 19:32, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Coach Z's Butt

Coach Z's butt is abnormally big, but does that mean it should be listed on Big Butt? That article is strictly talking about mentions of the phrase "big butt". I feel it should be listed somewhere, since it involves both Coach Z and a butt (an apparent fixation of his). I feel we need to merge Butt-Patting into a new article with more than just patting and grabbing. Coach Z's Butt Habit or sommat? —FireBird|Talk 17:52, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

I think the abnormal largeness is for comical/visibility reasons, not because Coach Z has an abnormally large butt. Bluebry 18:33, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
I was talking more along the lines of, "Coach Z is shown yet again with something involving butts, I think we should list it somewhere." But where? —FireBird|Talk 03:03, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Hmm...well, what about Coach Z's page? You know, Coach Z? Maybe as a section with links to various butt-related articles... Bluebry 03:05, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

you can't do that on television

I pretty sure the Decemberween Short Shorts is suppose to be parodying you can't do that on television. The style and everything is really similar...

It says it was a Canadian show. Did it air in the US? If not, methinks TBC don't even know what it is. Bluebry 23:58, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm American, and I'm vaguely familiar with the show (it was on Nickelodeon when I was a wery young. TBC are a few years older than me.) That said, I doubt that it's a reference. --Jay (Gobble) 00:04, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I'll add: 1) I'm a little older than TBC, and I clearly remember the show. 2) TBC have definitely seen the program, I'll bet... this pen! 3) I agree that this isn't likely to be an intentional reference. YCDTOT was a fun show but they didn't invent the style they used. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 00:07, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
TBC have referred to the program before, but I doubt this is a reference for the reasons suggested above. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 00:17, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Homestar's Helmet

Is it just me, or is that a cricket helmet Homestar was was wearing when he came into the locker room? Having seen them a few times, that's what it looks like to me. If it is, then it should be a Real World Reference. Plus, Coach Z's sports are huge mash-ups anyway, why not add an international sport (as long as its not soccer).

I totally buy it — and that makes a lot more sense than a hardhat with a mouthguard, which is what I thought when I watched it. Trey56 01:49, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Though, the hardhat-with-mouthguard is kinda in keeping with the mangled "sports" they all play, with equipment and devices from a variety of sports and non-sports all mixed up together. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 02:01, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Homestar's Wiggly Dancing

I don't recall seeing Homestar do this wiggly dancing before outside of the nobot easter egg in the sbemail "What I Want." Is this an inside reference?

Methinks not. I think they just needed some strange/stupid/pie?/obscure dance to put in there. Bluebry 02:17, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Picket Fence

In Hoosiers, as I recall the Picket Fence wasn't used to win the championship game. It was used to win an earlier, regular season game.
