:Well, if it's just one or two edits to a page, you're fine. But, when you edit a page maybe, ten times, it kinda adds up space-wise. So, don't worry about wasting space on Recent changes unless you're editing a certain page multiple times. How to talk? Well, go to the person's user talk page. Like this one. It's at User talk:Username. Of course, replace Username with the user's name. And by the way, remember to always sign your posts with four tildes. Like this: <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> . :::No prob. But, hey, don't forget that you need to end your posts with this: <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>. That way, it leaves your username and the date. You know, so it's easier for people to see who posted what. {{User:Bluebry/sig}} 00:43, 16 March 2007 (UTC) | :::No prob. - Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards.
- Read up on the rules and guidelines for your user space.
- If you're not sure what you can do to help out, head over to The Stick.
- To practice editing, go over to the sandbox.
- If you're looking for more community interaction, you can also register over at our forum.
- If you see an update on homestarrunner.com that isn't listed on the Main Page, put it up here.
- To sign and timestamp a post on a talk page, type four tildes (~~~~).
- Above all, be sure to be bold and have fun!
Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user space belongs to you. I hope this information is helpful, and that you'll have a good experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community.
Sincerely,
Trey56, and "The Homestar Runner Wiki Welcoming Committee", 00:12, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. I see you've been figuring out how to use the wiki syntax in the Sandbox — great! Just to let you know, there's a way to see what your edits will look like without having to submit them: it's the "Show preview" button next to the "Save page" button. This button is perfect for doing tests where you just want to see what different kinds of input produce — it also prevents your edits from accumulating in the Recent changes list. Anyway, hope that's helpful to you, and welcome again to the wiki!

Question
I know this may just be wasting space on the Recent changes list. But I would like to ask how to talk to other people.Panamon Creel 16:09, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

- A bit more: there are a few avenues for talking to people around here. If you want to talk about the content of an article, try clicking on that article's talk page. If you want to talk about a toon, but not necessarily the way that it's covered in an article on the wiki, try the forum. Finally, if you prefer a more chat-room type of discussion, check out IRC. Don't hesitate to ask if you have other questions!
