Sometimes, other reptiles besides dinosaurs and snakes have been spotted in the Homestar Runner universe.

- Email new hands — When saying what he can do with a bucket hand, Strong Bad uses it to dump oatmeal on a turtle.
- Email time capsule — The newspaper cut-out is of a boy finding a turtle in his shoe.
- Email lady fan — On the fourth comic panel (in which the lady fan says to Buck Webb that she's falling big time for Strong Bad) is an image of a sea turtle swimming along. Above this, the caption reads "Sea turtles eat a wide variety of food".
- Homestar Ruiner — To complete the Tri-Annual Race to the End of the Race, Strong Bad must jump over a turtle.
- 8-Bit is Enough — The turtle is the icon for "too slow" when talking to the Browntant and Chorch in Stinkoman 20X6.
- sbemail 206 — For one of his April Fools' Day pranks, Strong Bad flips the turtle (and Strong Mad) upside down.

- In Search of the Yello Dello — One of the montage scenes shows Homestar, Pom Pom and Strong Sad crossing an alligator-infested lake (in the style of the Atari 2600 game Pitfall!).
- Email the process — Bubs talks about discount alligators. At the end, an Easter egg plays a radio ad for Discount Alligator.
- Email underlings — Strong Bad sends Strong Sad a connect-the-dots puzzle featuring an alligator holding a sign reading, "We're going to need you to flush twice!" An alternate version of this alligator (climbing out of a toilet) appeared in the May 11, 2007 Sketchbook entry.

- Email myths & legends — One of the early depictions of the Bear holding a Shark was a moose holding a chameleon.
- Thy Dungeonman 3 — A Dongrel has the head of a lizard/dinosaur.
- Email concert — Strong Bad, discontented about the sound New Paper makes, says that it slithers out like a boring lizard's tongue.
