Michael Jackson, widely known as the King of Pop, was an American musician and remains one of the most commercially successful and influential entertainers of all time. His work had an effect on and is referenced in the Homestar Runner body of work.

- Weclome Back (DVD commentary) — Mike Chapman mentions playing "a nice Jackson 5 cover" back in high school.
- Email your funeral — Coach Z's dance moves and facial expressions reference the music video for Thriller. Strong Bad's "mouth full of grape jelly" also references this.
- Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective — Homestar sings "Billy Dee" to the tune of "Billie Jean".
- The House That Gave Sucky Tricks — Marzipan dresses up as Captain EO, whom Michael Jackson portrayed in the 3D Disney movie of the same name.
- Trogdor!! The Board Game (video) — The phrasing "*Actual tiles do not Billie Jean", used in a video clip demonstrating gameplay of Trogdor!! The Board Game, refers to the illuminating tiles in the "Billie Jean" music video.
