HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 30
- Well I think week 29 is well in hand, so any nominations for week 30? I'm personally up for BazookaJoe and The Paper's suggestion, Teen Girl Squad. Any other ideas? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 09:11, 17 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Personally, I like Strong Sad's Lament. But that's just me. --acekirby13|My Talk 20:34, 18 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Actually I was just browsing the nominations page and noticed that little gem. I was just coming to suggest this one in TGS's stead. Maybe bump TGS to next week. That way if we miss a bit due to bandwidth, it's a pretty obvious feature anyways. Anybody else? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 21:02, 18 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Now that you mention it, we probably will miss next week due to bandwith. --acekirby13|My Talk 22:46, 18 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Yea, I think we're gonna have to plan our featured articles around bandwidth until JoeyDay annouces an upgrade. I'm still a bit dissapointed about what happened with the floppy disk container. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 04:14, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Agreed. Perhaps when bandwith runs out, the article that was up should stay there for another week. I just don't want SSL to get the short end of the stick and be up there for two days, while TGS, a feature everyone knows about, runs up there at full strength for a week. --User:acekirby13/sig 15:06, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Well since the month ends at the end of next week anyways, we should be able to easily gauge whether or not TGS was up long enough. If it makes it to Wednesday or Thursday, I figure an already high profile article like that can be counted as featured and done, in my opinion. And next week we could give SSL a full week. How's that sound? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 23:41, 19 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Sounds good. Roll with it, Thunderbird. --User:acekirby13/sig 13:46, 20 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, I cleaned up the article a bunch and added stuff to it, and also made up the feature for next week. Feel free to tidy it up further before the big day. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 00:35, 21 Jul 2005 (UTC)
HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 31
How about Teen Girl Squad for this... Likely disadvantaged week? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 23:20, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Why would this week be disadvantaged? Next Monday is August 1. — It's dot com 02:02, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Teen Girl Squad is a good idea. This article should be written relatively soon, so when/if the wiki goes down, there will be an article ready to go when the wiki comes back up at 0600 UTC Monday. —BazookaJoe 04:03, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Concern to be addressed: how long would the week have to progress for Strong Sad's Lament to be considered to have served its proper time as a Featured Article? If the wiki goes down, say, tonight or tomorrow, I'm willing to let SSL go for another week. —BazookaJoe 04:08, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- Oh whups, slight miscalculation on my part. Somehow I was under the impression that NEXT WEEK was the last week of the month. Oops. Well, in any case, I figure if SSL makes it to say... Thursday, it's probably served it's purpose. FDC got less time than that. But in any case (again), what about bumping TGS again in favor of... Dum Dee Dum!
Pros:
- It is an article that will interest others now especially.
- It is an article that will very soon benifit from random user's help.
Cons:
- Disk four isn't quite ready, and might not be by Monday.
- It is currently on the What's New section of the Main Page, which already makes it quite visible.
Ooooor...
- We could wait a few weeks, until disk four is common, well known.
(Note, I don't think this format has to be strictly adhered to or anything, it just seems most useful in this case, as a simple demo, which could possibly be used more in the future. Simple, organized, easy to read. Overall though, I'm rooting for an informal, conversational atmosphere, not as cut and dry as STUFF). ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 04:47, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I think SBE.exe should be put off at least one week to give us a little time to get some good work done on it. By week 32, it will still be new enough to be timely and also benefit from casual users' help. We should postpone it briefly because who knows whether we'll receive our discs in time, or if we do, whether we'll even be able to edit the wiki. — It's dot com 04:56, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- From the looks of things, we aren't going to make it too far into Wednesday before we go 509 for July. I'd say if we make it to noon we're lucky. -- Tom 05:10, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- I'll get my DVD on Thursday according to the tracking info I have. Jay, do you want to figure a way to divvy up some of this? — It's dot com 05:13, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- If Tom says tomorrow afternoon, I think we may as well just go with TGS, and set it up now, so that it's ready for the 1st, no stress. I have to go to bed right now, because I gotta be up for work in 6 1/2 hours, but if anyone just wants to get it done, be my guest. As long as everybody's happy with TGS. And in light of Tom's new information, that brings BazookaJoe's concerns back into light. Is Wednesday noon long enough for SSL to be up? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 05:24, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 32
Perhaps strongbad_email.exe? 'Tis the season. —BazookaJoe 05:32, 3 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- My word. Not an ounce of discussion, even with about two hours and fifteen minutes left in the week. Methinks I will take the liberty of writing something. Anything. —BazookaJoe 21:44, 7 Aug 2005 (UTC)
HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 33
- Heh, sorry to see what happened last week. I was on vacation. But I'm back now... Somewhat. Working hard Thursday and Friday, but I might be here and there a bit. So any nominations for this week? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 05:45, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest Videlectrix. Mostly because I really want a Stinkoman 20X6 article but those probably shouldn't be featured until after the game is finished. Besides, we haven't had a game-related article yet. Homestar Coder

- Ooooh. good call. I'm on board for that one. Anybody else have an opinion? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 11:10, 11 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Videlectrix. Go for it. —BazookaJoe 03:38, 13 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Done and Done. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 21:12, 13 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Oh! I just had a sudden thought. What about featuring Marshmallow's Last Stand (toon) instead, and moving Videlectrix to the following week? The only reason I suggest this, is that it might clear up last weeks Strong Bad Email somewhat, to those who don't know TBC original style. I dunno, just a thought. What do you think? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 02:30, 14 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Edit: It's now Sunday morning. Since the article goes featured tommorrow, if I don't hear any other opinions before then, I'm gonna just go ahead and switch 'em tonight, move Videlectrix to next week. Unless anyone doesn't like the idea. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 16:10, 14 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- EDIT: Okay, it's done. Thanks BJ for the rewording. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 01:18, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 34
Due to the recent Strong Bad Email, and without any visible opposition, I moved Videlectrix to this week in favor of Marshmallow's Last Stand (toon) ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 01:17, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)
HRWiki:Featured article for 2005, week 35
- Well, let's get an early start on this one. Put alot of time an thought, and whatever into it. I'm thinking we hit... Main Pages this time. Whaddaya think? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 02:26, 14 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- (I'm also thinking instead of choosing the article of the week for the week following, it would be best to keep a week ahead, especially while the bandwidth problems are rampant. Which means hopefully we can get this one decided on by this weekend (20th/21st). ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 05:31, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- JoeyDay has suggested Strong Bad Email Statistics. I think we should do that one. It's a very interesting page, and the stats have been updated recently. All that needs writing is a good paragraph for the FA, which several people are already willing to do. —BazookaJoe 16:01, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Which several people already did. Waiting for a feedback. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 16:07, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- BTW, it is my understanding that since the forums have been moved to a different server, the bandwidth problems are a thing of the past (or, at least, a thing of the distant future; either way, not a problem right now). — It's dot com 16:13, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Oh really? Bandwidth is fixed? First I heard of this. Guess I missed Da memo... Since there wasn't one. But that's great about the bandwidth, sure makes me happy. Anyways, I'm up for Sbemail Stats. If you've already got the paragraph ready, then by all means, go for it. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 22:26, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Main Pages sounds good to me. I think that before we do the statisticts, we should do Strong Bad Email first. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 22:34, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Strong Bad Email was the second FA that we did. —BazookaJoe 22:45, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, my bad. I think that the statistics would be a little hard to make into one paragraph. Don't ya think? Rogue Leader / (my talk) 22:48, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- I think the introductory paragraph that is there now would do just nicely. — It's dot com 22:53, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Nevermind. I looked at that first paragraph, and seems good on the main page. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 22:55, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- Okay. Sounds good then. Let's do it! ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 22:59, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- And so now we cut to a montage of us preparing the article with background music? — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:20, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC) (And thanks again)
- *Looks around*
- <.<
- >.>
- *sigh*
- Okay, I'll do it. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 23:50, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- *Looks around*
- Update: It's done, but I'm not totally happy with the wording to work in the title of the page. Feel free to improve it, anybody. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 23:56, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- ... Well BESIDES that, since that image is sorta supposed to be slanted, do you think that's the best image for the article? I couldn't choose which one to display... ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 00:27, 24 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- I know, I got it. I was feigning annoyance. It really was quite clever. Well, I'm going over to next week. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 01:16, 24 Aug 2005 (UTC)
