TTATOT

What does TTATOT mean? --TheThin 22:28, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

This, that, and the other thing. "Applicable when a reference in a toon could refer to one of many similar things. The rule of thumb is that if it could apply to several things, it probably refers to nothing in particular." —FireBird|Talk 22:46, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
okay thanx --TheThin 22:56, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Revert

Why did you revert me in the Ballad of the Sneak page?--H*bad 21:36, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

The image of The Sneak was not the correct image for the article. This is the correct image. —FireBird|Talk 21:39, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't see it though.--H*bad 21:58, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
What? —FireBird|Talk 22:07, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
The picture that you guys chose doesn't show up on my screen.--H*bad 22:09, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
H*bad, disable your ad blocker, or at least add hrwiki.org to your whitelist. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 22:10, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't have ad blocker only pop up blocker and I add this website the second I came on.--H*bad 22:15, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh. The reason I thought it was your ad blocker was becuase the image is stored in the /ad/ subdirectory of the images directory. When I had this problem a while back, it turned out to be a problem with my ad blocker. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 22:21, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Why is it under ad? Why not just have it under normal ones.--H*bad 22:24, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
There are performance issues if a directory contains a large number of files, it's better to have a bunch of directories with a smaller number of files in each. To avoid creating a single massive uploads directory (especially on a large wiki, like Wikipedia, where it could become a problem) the MediaWiki software creates a 2-hexadecimal-digit hash code based on the image name, and uses that to categorise the image files, so that there are about 1/256 as many images in each directory. In particular, it uses the first 2 digits of the MD5 sum. The MD5 sum of "balladofthesneak.PNG" is ad53122b3fa2b9da0ba28a959ef0cd98 – the first two digits being ad. So it's sorted in the /ad/ folder, which may result in a false positive in some ad-blockers. --phlip TC 08:35, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
If "ad" is an issue for users, can it and other potentially problematic strings be disallowed? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:22, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
