[edit] TTATOT

What does TTATOT mean? --TheThin 22:28, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

This, that, and the other thing. "Applicable when a reference in a toon could refer to one of many similar things. The rule of thumb is that if it could apply to several things, it probably refers to nothing in particular." —FireBird|Talk 22:46, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
okay thanx --TheThin 22:56, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Revert

Why did you revert me in the Ballad of The Sneak page?--H*bad 21:36, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

The image of The Sneak was not the correct image for the article. This is the correct image. —FireBird|Talk 21:39, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't see it though.--H*bad 21:58, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
What? —FireBird|Talk 22:07, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
The picture that you guys chose doesn't show up on my screen.--H*bad 22:09, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
H*bad, disable your ad blocker, or at least add to your whitelist. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 22:10, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
I don't have ad blocker only pop up blocker and I add this website the second I came on.--H*bad 22:15, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh. The reason I thought it was your ad blocker was becuase the image is stored in the /ad/ subdirectory of the images directory. When I had this problem a while back, it turned out to be a problem with my ad blocker. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 22:21, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Why is it under ad? Why not just have it under normal ones.--H*bad 22:24, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
There are performance issues if a directory contains a large number of files, it's better to have a bunch of directories with a smaller number of files in each. To avoid creating a single massive uploads directory (especially on a large wiki, like Wikipedia, where it could become a problem) the MediaWiki software creates a 2-hexadecimal-digit hash code based on the image name, and uses that to categorise the image files, so that there are about 1/256 as many images in each directory. In particular, it uses the first 2 digits of the MD5 sum. The MD5 sum of "balladofthesneak.PNG" is ad53122b3fa2b9da0ba28a959ef0cd98 – the first two digits being ad. So it's sorted in the /ad/ folder, which may result in a false positive in some ad-blockers. --phlip TC 08:35, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
If "ad" is an issue for users, can it and other potentially problematic strings be disallowed? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:22, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Well, I've suggested it here, we'll see what happens. Certainly not until we get 1.6, and possibly not until we get 1.7... it depends where the change is made. Or if they make the change at all... [edit]: Well that was quick, it was a duplicate of this bug, which has been marked "WONTFIX". So yeah. Not going to happen. --phlip TC 11:39, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My Cousin

My cousin is going to make an account On my computer. If he trolls, don't block his IP address. --TheThin 19:18, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Why doesn't de make it on his own computer? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 19:26, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
He doesn't have one. His user is SomeoneCool. --TheThin 19:27, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Um... why doesn't he simply not troll? That'd make it easier, hmm? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 19:33, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Sounds fimiliar. I think I might have used this same thing. Ok, but if he trolls we might blame it on you. Since their is no proof.--H*bad 19:35, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
I told him trolling was illigle. Heh Heh. --TheThin 19:54, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
And how is it that he isn't editing?--H*bad 19:57, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
He isn't here right now. --TheThin 19:57, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chris?

On one of your edit summaries, you called me "Chris," which I'm assuming means "Yeltensic." I'm not Yelt. You can tell us apart: I'm a Christian, Yelt is an atheist; I'm a conservative, Yelt is a liberal; Yelt likes The Simpsons (last time I checked), I'd rather give myself a swirlie than watch it; I'm pretty sure Yelt hates Bush, and I don't hate him at all. So yeah, we're totally different people. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

Yeah, my mistake. Sorry about that. —FireBird|Talk 01:56, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
No prob. Since we're both pretty much cynics and I just got unblocked after a month, it's easy to get us confused. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
