Olympics

There have been numerous references to The Olympics in the Homestar Runner universe. It actually has some historical significance, as the Original Book was created during the 1996 Olympics (out of boredom according to The Brothers Chaps).
Appearances
- Under Fan Stuff, there is a picture of Homestar as speed skater Apollo Ohno. The comment reads "I didn't watch much winter olympics but Stephanie sure did!"
- 3 Times Halloween Funjob — The Cheat dresses up as Izzy, the mascot of the 1996 Olympics.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2 — Strong Bad tells Marzipan that she should get a cable TV subscription that includes the Olympic Triplecast, which was an extention of NBC's Olympic coverage.
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 10- Cheerleader claims they can't go to The Ugly One's party because "they have the Olympics tonight". When it turns out to be a "b'g'rl p'rty", Cheerleader claims that "Coach just called to say the Olympics are dumb", and that "they'll be there like shareware".
- Flashforward- the maximum value is eventually labeled "The Olympics!"
- Email strong badathlon- references Olympic events like the decathlon
