Um... how do we know that this is the game? --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 02:31, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

It was on WiiWorld for a while (they correctly predicted the name of episode 4). There's some evidence of this on Telltale's forum, too. However, Telltale's staff demanded that WiiWorld take the info down until they're ready to show it (presumably, they'll be ready to show it on Monday.) AFAIK, no requests have been made to remove the info from the Wiki, but we should comply if they do ask us. --Jay (Talk) 02:34, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Voice for Trogdor?

WHOA! Who thought that Trogdor would be in Free Country USA?! Since we already know what Stinkoman's voice sounds like, how do you think Trogdor would sound?

(-70.244.251.1 03:05, 14 November 2008 (UTC) [Everybody!; you know the drill with me forgetting to log in XD]

A. Suitable for the Forum
B. We've seen him there before
C. And either the "Microsoft Sam" voice heard in the game or roaring. DevonM(talk·cont-ribs) 03:10, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
Hasn't anyone thought of Peasant's Quest yet? I mean, come on... 70.58.93.236 23:48, 17 November 2008 (UTC) (AKA Bloohoo)
1) The speculation-n'-rumors should be made a forum discussion.
2) It's actually Software Automatic Mouth, and it was onlyavailable for the Apple II and Lisa, Commodore 64, and various Atari's that had a POKEY chip. Oh yeah, and
3) Can anyone tell us what Trogdor's laugh sounds like in the trailer? Please and thanks. --64.149.213.65 02:20, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

A Screenshot

I found a screenshot on the official site that I cropped into an image of 3D Stinkoman that I uploaded a few minutes ago. The funny and slightly disturbing thing is, the screenshot (not my cropped version) revealed that Stinkoman is standing on a platform from Stinkoman 20X6. I know that the description says that video games are leaking into Free Country, so, should we put down Planet K as a place? Strongkinghomsarsmith 21:46, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Yes. Yes, we should! And Strong Badia, House Of The Brothers Strong, The Field, The Basement, and everything in the new screenshots.

Have you guys seen that awesome, rather diginal screenshot on TellTale Games? You know, the one with Strong Bad in that wierd, yet cool, place with all the Videlectrix games. That is cool. -Absorr|Homestar Runner Wiki is a must 01:38, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Braid

An email refers to a recent game where you can't die, you just get stuck. Sounds like a reference to Braid, if you ask me. Anybody else have RECENT game possibilities?

The first game that sprung to my mind was an obscure one named Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. Maybe you've heard of it. It's pretty recent too. --Belthazar 10:07, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Exactly. It's all part of the hypocrisy, like at the beginning of the game when Strong Bad tells The Cheat that "licensed games are never good." He's in a licensed game, and kicked off the plot of the third episode of said licensed game by trying to fix a licensed game. --Jay (Talk) 11:42, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Secret Shirt

Is the secret shirt supposed to make SB's torso invisible or is that a glitch?

It's deliberate. =) --Belthazar 10:56, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
How do you get the secret shirt? I tried walking off the edge three times, then six times, and it just reset me every thrid time. --The Swedish Ace 02:04, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Try again when not wearing any costume items. --Jay (Talk) 02:23, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Somebody put it under glitches, should it be deleted, or just moved to another part of the article? The Swedish Ace 15:17, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Definatly not a glitch, since there's been secret shirts there before. Move it. That Game Dude 386 18:23, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Wierd. When the rest of costume comes off before leaving, inviso-shirt stays on until he returns to the field. --PartyBrd20X6 21:11, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

That was me who put it on. Didn't know if it was a glitch or not. Sorry about that. Guy in a Box 20:10, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Wrecking Crew?

The use of Mista Fixit as a Videlectrix game somehow made me think that there could have been similar stylistic similarities with the Mario spin-off Wrecking Crew (one of those few videogames that I couldn't really stand much). Although, when Mista Fixit wants to build stuff, WC is more about destroying stuff with the same tools.

It's a long shot to think of a reference like this, but it's still something at any rate. I'll still be fine if it doesn't get accepted as one. >.> Rexy-mberween (save the rabbits!) 15:55, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Reminds me more of Bob the Builder.
I don't know about Bob the Builder. If Mista Fixit was surrounded by anthropomorphic construction vehicles, had a much cornier catchphrase than "Let's build something" and/or was chased around by a live scarecrow, then it might be more familiar. Rexy-mberween (save the rabbits!) 14:39, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Imflammable as a goof?

Right now, Gel-arshie mentioning he's inflammable is listed as a goof. It's difficult to say it's an actual goof on part of the creators, due to the fact it's not rare for a character to say something incorrect that the Brothers Chap know isn't true. Personally, I think this is one such case, but clearly someone disagrees. So, thoughts?

Aye, I was gonna comment on that myself. Unfortunately, without word from them, I don't think it's possible to tell whether it's a mistake by TBC or simply a mistake by Gel-Arshie. --Belthazar 22:02, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
I haven't played the game yet but it doesn't sound like something they'd mess up. It seems intentional to me (as in ironic humor). -132.183.138.37 22:09, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

No Manuél this time?

Should it be noted that you don't have to collect a manual in this episode? --DarkAlex 01:59, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps, but note that you DO collect game boxes, and one of the collectible cards has a hint for Gel-Arshie's Pro Fruitboarder on it. --Jay (Talk) 02:23, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Two of them. =) --Belthazar 05:09, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

No Costumes Outside Snap Shak?

Well, I just amxed out all my awesomeness and went to try out all the new costume items, and it STILL won't let me leave the Snap Shak without taking off the clothing first...

Should this be noted on the page, or is it just my copy of the game? CloneWarrior 03:01, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

It should be noted, but not as a goof - Telltale disabled it, because costumes would mess up some of the transition scenes. --Belthazar 05:09, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Actually, it's more likely that it's because of the Peasantry "Retro Mode" in Extended Play. But I would have rather had outside costume ability rather than the ability to play as Rather Dashing, really. SuperfieldCreditUnion

Dallas reference?

Could Strong Bad's waking up after defeating Trogdor to discover it was all a dream be a reference to the TV Show Dallas? Homestar-Winner (talk) 01:20, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's a reference to The Wizard of Oz, as Dorothy said similar lines to the people the Oz characters were based on. - CloneWarrior 01:25, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Aye. It's pretty much word-for-word, actually, only with the character names changed, of course. --Belthazar 01:30, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
What character names? It's all pronouns: "you were there! And you! And you!" However, Dorothy didn't do the "uh-oh, you were there" thing. :) --Jay (Talk) 01:31, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
The character names in my doodle memory, of course. --Belthazar 01:32, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Ah, yes. Now I remember. I was sure I had heard someone say that before. Homestar-Winner (talk) 03:41, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Not Quite Couch Mumbling

Before waking up next to the arcade cabinet, Strong Bad says RhinoFeeder. Would this be an instance of couch mumbling? He's asleep and says the name of an, ahem, 'old' video game. Does that qualify it? --The Swedish Ace 01:22, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

I see it as a throwback to Homestar Ruiner's intro sequence myself, where he mutters the same game name while sleeping on the couch. But yeah, it's a strange instance on "couch mumbling", even though he's technically not on the couch. Rexy-mberween (save the rabbits!) 10:17, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
So, should it be listed as couch mumbling, or maybe this deserves it's own special sub-section in the couch mumbling article. --The Swedish Ace 02:39, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm fine with it being listed as a couch mumble, though before doing so, this issue can really do with a third opinion. Rexy-mberween (save the rabbits!) 14:48, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, I'll put it as a couch mumble, newb question ahoy, but how do you post links to the articles of Rhinofeeder and couch mumbling? The Swedish Ace 20:06, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
[[Rhino Feeder]], [[Couch Mumbling]] BBG 20:15, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Sam Adams?

The reference of Sam Adams speculates that his line regarding inventing beer probably refers to Sam Adams/The Boston Beer Company. While perhaps likely, the revolutionary-era man Sam Adams was also himself a brewer, so this is not necessarily an outside reference at all. 66.161.253.85 20:20, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Not necessarily, but as you say, likely. Samuel Adams is a well-known brand, and anyone familiar with the patriot's experience as a brewer will also be quite aware of the modern brand that bears his name. In fact, most people aware of the founding father's interest in brewing likely learned of it from the ads.

I must... GET A GOOD CAPTION!

There seems to be a debate over whether the caption for the gameplay photo should be "Uh... Anybody know hoe to kill a dragon?" or "I must... KILL TROGDOR!!!". Since the latter is already being used for the walkthrough, I propose we keep the former, since it fits well too. Any objections??? That Game Dude 386 19:55, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

I believe we should go with the latter (I was the one who changed it that way) because it's more dramatic, and fits the game's overall plot and theme together, because the goal of the whole game is to kill Trogdor, so the quote should be that. We could use the "Uh... Anybody know how to kill a dragon?" line for the walkthrough, because he's basically asking how you do it, which is what the walkthrough is for! - Tizye96

But the former was already there. We shouldn't change a caption unless a) it's already been used somewhere else in the wiki or b)there's a caption with more relevence to the picture than the current one. That Game Dude 386 21:45, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Playset?

I got all the Cheat Commandos Topplegangers Traction Figures and now how i got the Deluxe Submarine Junkyard Playset.

oh one more thing my rumor is use the Mista Fixit on Strong Badia

You don't. It was a joke. And what do you mean "your rumour"? Are you attempting to start one? --Belthazar 23:22, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
