Keep?

I'm not really against this page's existence, but I don't support it either. It doesn't seem to match the stuff we usually document on this wiki. I thought a discussion should be started before the page is improved or deleted. Should we have pages for animation sprites? If so, should any other characters be documented this way? I think we should have more animation sprite and method pages. I also think we should include a section on this page for Homestar's eyes. Pac2005 (Talk | contribs) 20:31, 16 March 2019 (UTC) (left unsigned)
That makes sense, but how do we decide which pages to create? Where does it end? Obviously we can't make a page for, say, Bozar's mouth movements. There should be consistent guidelines to determine which animation sprites warrant pages. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 03:35, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
I agree that this fills a niche on the site - for instance, Homestar Runner Evolution notes when he gains a new facial expression. As far as inclusion, at most we can include main characters who demonstrate a variety of expressions. We already denote irregular expressions for other characters (e.g. The Cheat Smiling), and many characters have such a limited range of expressions due to their design that having their own page is unnecessary. Perhaps an arbitrary number - like, "more than five unique expressions gets their own page". — Bleu Ninja 20:59, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
I see this as the sort of thing that's "interesting, though not article-worthy", à la Analysis of Homsar's Speech Patterns. RickTommy (edits) 00:52, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
I agree with RickTommy. This sort of thing might be interesting as, like, an animation guide or a model sheet. But we're not one of those, we're an encyclopedia. Some minutae is a bit too over-detailed, even for us. I'd be accepting of moving it to, say, a gallery on Homestar Runner Evolution, but not a whole table in a whole article. --DorianGray 01:20, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
I think we should expand this page into "Homestar Runner's Anatomy", where how the sprites are rigged together is documented as well as stuff like these faces. - Anonymous Contributor
