Ding! Scrolling Shooter Games Menu is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

[edit] This page

This page is being a pain in my butt. -- AgentSeethroo 10:44, 11 Aug 2004 (MST)

Yeah, it's a big page. Do you think we should split it up somehow? And I think that screenshot is too big. We need to get that thumbnail thing installed, it would work well here. And some of those Fun Facts aren't too good. -- Tom 11:37, 11 Aug 2004 (MST)
Yeah, I just wanted to get something up so we could whittle it down to a good solid page. I'll weed out the crappy fun facts sometime, unless you wantsta do it. -- AgentSeethroo 12:06, 11 Aug 2004 (MST)
Cool man. Which ever one of us gets to it first! -- Tom 13:34, 11 Aug 2004 (MST)

Since nobody's ever bothered to add them, should I add the Message Bored games to this list? --TheNintenGenius 13:08, 18 Sep 2004 (MST)

Sure. But I see you already did. That's cool. -- Tom 13:22, 18 Sep 2004 (MST)

[edit] Old Game Page Screen

Shouldn't that be a PNG? JPEGs are for photos, not screens from the site. Shadow Hog 18:24, 13 Nov 2004 (MST)

Who cares? An image is an image. -- nintendorulez 17:27, 12 Mar 2005 (MST)
Well, NOBODY considering you replied four months late. :P --Shadow Hog 20:00, 12 Mar 2005 (MST)

[edit] Old Games Menu Link

I think the external link to the old games menu should be removed. The article's about the shooter one, that has it's own wiki page. -- nintendorulez 17:27, 12 Mar 2005 (MST)

The article states that 1-up describes eack game, but it's whoever space ship you're using at the moment. Daniel 11:31, 22 Mar 2005 (MST)

I agree. We should go add that. ——Darklinkskywalker|Talk_|i did this stuff_ 00:30, 7 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Weird thing

I just used the seek bar to see what would happen, and then when I shot stinkoman, the lazer went through it and destroyed the entire selection, and then it went to stinkoman.

That's interesting. I just tried this, and it took my to Thy Dungeonman when I fired at Stinkoman 20X6! --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif, 02:14, 18 August 2005 (BST)
And just now, when it all blew up, it took me to a page called undefined and no .html[1]. What the crap is this?

[edit] Request for consistancy

Can someone make and upload animated gifs for the avitars in the easter egg section so that they are all contsistant? So far, on the one of TC has been done. I R F 15:41, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

Well, the only reason that one's done is because I had it for my avatar... then when I saw the need I uploaded it here. - Joshua

[edit] Score?

There used to be a way to get points before 2/2/06? How? If it is by shooting the ships, how many points was a ship worth? -Zyborg

No, that fact just means that there's no way to get a score, and 2/2/06 was just the last time this was checked. A bit confusing, I'll go reword it... --phlip TC 12:36, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cheatballship?

I realize the last thing one should do is quibble about consistent depictions of non-standard-universe-characters, but did it strike anyone else as odd that Cheatball's ship isn't the spaceship that has so far been hinted at being the Cheatball's other form (and which is ball-shaped)? I mean obviously not every character has their own spaceship, and it's even sillier to mention that PanPan and Cheatball are speaking english, but... I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it later to be the other ship (the current one doesn't even 'bank' as you move it)

[edit] Homestar power-up

I ran into it just now. A couple of times. It's a red pill thing with an H on it. Can anyone put a picture of that on the list? --68.145.103.189 03:28, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

If you take a gander at the page again, you'll find that a description and image of the pill is already listed, but thanks. And yes, you are allowed to edit your comments as much as you like. — talk Bubsty edits 04:36, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Point taken. Done. --68.145.103.189 20:37, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
That's weird. Firefox must be the problem here. It can't seem to show some pictures. This happened on Neopets as well. --68.145.103.189 20:41, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] new glitch

not sure if its really a glitch, but if you click on a ship and press the stop button on your browser it will stop loading the page but you will still be on th games menu , the ship you shot will be destroyed, and you won't be able to fire.

I saw a glitch too. I clicked SBCG4AP demo, and I decided not to load, and you can still collect pills, but the characters say nothing and you can not shoot another ship. 9/2008 User:PartyBrd20X6

[edit] Line breaks

I actually think those line breaks should be noted in some way and spaces feel as good a way as any. DEI DAT VMdatvm center\super contra 21:58, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

In most cases I'd say we should match the formatting of the original, but line breaks are a bit different, since they're determined by the space available rather than the creators' intentions. They didn't intend to separate Dungeonman/Stinkoman/Dangeresque into two words, but they were forced to due to space limitations. We have no such limitations, so we should probably write the more accurate, intended titles. To me, writing the names without spaces is more accurate to the original, since there aren't technically spaces between lines on the actual menu. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 02:48, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit] Demo

Is the SBCG4AP Demo on the Flash version of this page actually the same as the SBCG4AP Tech Demo? The link seems to lead to a different page than either the original SBCG4AP Dev Blog post or the original location of the Tech Demo's Flash file. DEI DAT VMdatvm center\super contra 21:58, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

Sorry, I should have checked to see where the link went. I definitely remember that it linked to the SBCG4AP Tech Demo at some point, but it's possible that the link could have changed later on. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 02:48, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
