Dragon Con 2005 (stylized as Dragon*Con or DragonCon) was a multigenre convention held from September 2–5, 2005 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Brothers Chaps, accompanied by family and friends, hosted a Homestar Runner booth in the exhibitor's hall of the convention, selling merchandise and meeting with fans. This was Mike Chapman's first convention, as prior Homestar Runner tables at shows in 2005 had been staffed by Strong Dad and The Mother Chaps.

The brothers were interviewed for The Bobby Blackwolf Show (joined by Jonathan Howe) and Moron Life while at the show.

[edit] Announcement

Homestar Runner's presence at the event was announced via a Main Page message on August 31, 2005:

Homestar Runner at DragonCon '05!

Sept 2 - 5 Atlanta, GA

We'll be selling our wares at booth #101 in the Exhibitor's Hall for all 4 days of DragonCon! We're way back in the back left corner. Try not to get twelve-sided died on your way over.

Stop by for discounted merchandise and FREE high fives! The Brothers Chaps, the Family Chaps, and other members of the Homestar crew will be manning the booth throughout the weekend. Look for puppet appearances and maybe some toons you've never seen before!

We'll be offering DVDs, CDs, figurines, messenger bags, beanies, posters, stickers, patches, and Trogdor t-shirts. (it is DRAGONcon afterall)

Visit dragoncon.org* for directions, locations, and more info.

[edit] Trogdor Con

Art imitates life!
See main article: Trogdor Con '97

A special Toon was produced that spoofed this event, featuring Strong Bad and The Cheat tabling at Trogdor Con '97. Originally planned to be shown at their Dragon Con table, the toon was not finished by the time of the event and was instead released to the website. Many elements of the toon directly reference their convention experience, such as Strong Bad's booth 101 sharing the number of the Homestar Runner table in the hall or references to neighboring vendors.
