This IS '''kinda''' a useful page, like if people want to see some old characters, that are no longer/make few appearnces on the site? HrWiki is definetely a useful place, and the more articles, the better! Just don't keep the useless and blank pages. Homeschool may not make a bunch of appearances, but every loyal fan to the site knows him. And keep the Unguiriantes, or whatever. I can't spell them. they were almost in a major toon, and I like them.

* A character that looks like Homeschool Winner is among the sketches in the booklet that comes in the Strong Bad Sings CD. He's on the far right of the last page.

I heard that Homeschool Winner was the original prototype for [[Homsar]].  As Homsar gained in popularity, they didn't need to use Homeschool Winner anywhere.

Maybe the fact that characters either only mentioned (Senor and Mr. Bland) or expected not to be used (Trogador) have been given some screen time, The Brothers Chap may be considering some of their old ideas.  Given the personality line for Homeschool Winner, he - if used - could take the place of Strong Bad's original role as the villain.  Either that or be a ''worthy'' rival for Strong Bad. :I wouldn't really call it 4 appearances. He was on an old card, he was in Dancin' Bubs, he was referred to here and in Sample Of Style. Not enough to merit an article. The title and lede implies these characters are all rejected and unused, but there are three "levels" at play here, the last of which is hardly rejection:
# Never ever appeared in-universe, only in behind-the-scenes material (Hurricane, Trivia Time [the actual dog, not the cookie jar])
# Only appear in toons as a sight gag, a joke for fans who read the wiki or trawl [[Homestarrunner.net Interview - 21 May 2003|the files on their server]] (Unguraits, Champeen)
# Have a full, prominent role in a toon, where they speak and have a role in how the toon unfolds (Dijjery Doo, Preshy and Rafferty, Folly)

I don't think this is a case for [[Template:rename]], or for de-listing those in the third category. But the fact remains that many of these characters aren't "rejected" in the sense that they "do not appear" (as the lede puts it). Maybe we have a subhead with something like "not quite rejected characters" or "eventually-used characters" or "no longer rejected characters" (or some better word choice) to divide the table? Gags like the silhouettes in Mackerel or The Show: Ween Edition have that meta quality of "hey, it's these secret guys!" so I don't think P&R oughta be pulled out of here. --{{User:Bleu Ninja/sig}} 03:10, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
