[edit] Reddest Radish and Yello Dello

To answer your question, In Search of the Yello Dello has two versions. The original (in which Marzipan does not speak) predates The Reddest Radish, but I'm not sure the new version does. Lemme double-check. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 03:09, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Results were inconclusive. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 03:13, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Also, where does Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 1.0 fall in the mix? It has a date of 2000 listed. — It's dot com 03:14, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Annoying Apostrophes

Ha! No way. I'm a real grammar stickler, so I tend to round up apostrophes into their places like the proverbial sheepdog, or perhaps a kindly matron with unruly children. Ahem. So. You haven't read Eats, Shoots & Leaves, by any chance, have you? - Michelle Mabelle 22:15, 6 May 2006

I tried, but the way I am prevents me from reading any book written by someone who hates Who Framed Roger Rabbit. That is like, my favorite movie. I've seen it, like, a hundred times.--Jnelson09 21:19, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

LOL—I wonder what it's author has against the movie. (And how you knew that without having read the book!) Personally, I have mixed feelings about it; although I feel strongly about correct grammar, I've heard it reviewed as unpleasantly snarky and holier-than-thou. (I have my limits; I expect any reasonable person to acknowledge that there are different standards for written language depending on the purpose of writing, and only in the most formal of them is it acceptable to take someone to task for ending sentences with prepositions.) —AbdiViklas 21:41, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Hey, Abdi. Watch local news again. LOL!!!!--Jnelson09 21:44, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Wait, I'm confused. Is there a prepostion at the end of a sentence there? 'Cause it definitely isn't one of the things he takes on in Rhythm 'n' Grammar. But that's my point. To end with a preposition is human. To misplace a modifier or use unparallel construction is... of the devil. (But you know what really gets me agitated? The construction "all are not" instead of "not all are"! I'm completely making this example up, but something like: "Many in New Orleans were devastated by the destruction of Hurricane Katrina. However, everyone was not displaced; Mr. Blank, who stayed, said..." No, dear. If "Everyone was not displaced," that means no one was displaced. You're thinking of "Not everyone was displaced. I ran across some instance of that in the newspaper the other day, and expressed my emotion upon the paper in a way that left it a little closer to being recycled. —AbdiViklas 21:58, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Whoa, Whoa. You spelled "its" wrong. That's all. I just thought you would know.--Jnelson09 22:26, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

LOL!! You're right! That's the wierdest thing. It bugs the heck out of me, but on an alarming basis I catch myself doing it. Dagnabbit. —AbdiViklas 22:32, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] GIF Question.

You asked for a Buttdance Gif. Is is for the page? And from the character video or bottom 10? Steve Talk Contributions 23:57, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

The gif is up! Steve Talk Contributions 01:23, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Confused

You said "It doesn't sound the same, and this could be considered spam" regarding a link to "http://www.oddtodd.com" - now, I cannot even find the musical bit used on that site (where did you find even similar music?), but what on Earth did you mean by your edit summary? Are you saying linking to a random site which features the same stock music a spamming? I kinda can agree there, but would like a more clear understanding. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:45, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Uh, okay: See, I examined that site for a "tuesday morning coffee show" and heard the music played there. It didn't sound the same as the Reddest Radish music but it cleary was being played on a Casio SK-1 keyboard. With the fact that it wasn't exactly the same and that all sorts of other sites could have, I considered it spam. Even so, this would be better in Website Sightings. If you can find it, and you consider it the same, then add it there. --Jnelson09 17:26, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Days of the week

Kudos to you for undertaking such a huge project! DeFender1031 20:46, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem. Hey, if you want to help, be my guest. --Jnelson09 20:47, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
We're gonna have to rename you JDatebookNelson09 :-) ~~DeFender1031 20:52, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Good one. Thanks for the motivation. --Jnelson09 20:53, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Also, how the crap do you type/think so fast? You're making edits every 8 seconds! The recent changes log is flooded with you (and not in the bad way either.) And on top of it, you reply to me like 3 seconds after I write. This was gonna be a post script, but you edit-conflicted me. DeFender1031 20:56, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that. It's weird, cause in real life, I'm like Kid Speedy. --Jnelson09 20:57, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I wasn't complaining, I was using it to add to my point. And now we're gonna need to call you JLightspeedDatebookNelson09 or something catchier (I suck at coming up with that kind of stuff, captioning photos, yearbook quotes etc.) DeFender1031 21:00, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Just keep it as Jnelson09, DeComplimentALotFender1031. --Jnelson09 21:01, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey, just to be clear, I don't just give my compliments away on street corners, I only use them when people deserve them. And you, my friend, definately deserve it. DeFender1031 21:05, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. --Jnelson09 21:06, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I know I'm commenting way too late here, but you really need to be using edit summaries when you make a lot of edits like this. Otherwise, looks good. — It's dot com 21:44, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Right. Sorry. --Jnelson09 21:44, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

If he did that, it would slow down his editing. Seriously Dot Com, he's on a roll, don't ruin it. DeFender1031 21:46, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
It'll make it much easier for people to see what he did later on. And it's only one paste action per edit. Loafing 21:47, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Jnelson: You need to write a summary that will stand the test of time. That is, you should not put "you can help", because such a message will be obsolete after today. DeFender: There is always time for an edit summary. — It's dot com 21:51, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Alright then. I'm going to take a break, and start on another section later. By the way, you CAN help. --Jnelson09 21:53, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

I'll help if you want me too. I'll just add the day of the week if I'm cleaning up an article and see that it needs one. By the way, how do you get the day of the week from years ago? Also, how are you editing so fast? It's amazing, really. Great job. -Brightstar Shiner 22:12, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, I might as well let you in on my secret. I'm using my PDA's desktop (or rather, laptop) software. It has every day of the week stored between Thursday, January 1, 1970 and Wednesday, December 31, 2031. --Jnelson09 22:15, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] STUFF vote

Hi there, Jnelson09. I noticed that you voted to accept two versions of a fact in STUFF. According to STUFF policy (you can read this at the top of HRWiki:STUFF), only your vote to accept the bottommost revision will count. Is this the one you want to accept? If so, I'll remove your vote to accept the first revision. If not, just let me know. Thanks! Trey56 22:57, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

I didn't know. --Jnelson09 23:06, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

No, there's no problem at all — which version would you like to accept? Trey56 23:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

I just took care of that issue. Pardon my ignorance. --Jnelson09 23:08, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem at all. Laters, Trey56 23:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] April Fools'

Hello, Jnelson. It would be better to use the toon's talk page to discuss your April Fools' proposed fun fact instead of launching immediately into STUFF. I've deleted the STUFF page for now. Cheers! — It's dot com 19:32, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

I brought up the issue in the talk page. Now what do I do? --Jnelson09 19:40, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Now you wait for someone to reply to you. By the way, it's really not necessary to mention that you tried to STUFF. It's not relevant to the discussion at this point. — It's dot com 19:58, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Homsar costume

"AaAaAa'm the make-money magnate!"

Hey there — congraturation on getting into Fan Costumes '07! That's really awesome :D Trey56 07:54, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Words, even words that Homsar says, cannot describe how I'm feeling. --Jnelson09 22:07, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Are you crying on the inside? ;-) Heimstern Läufer 22:15, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
I am proud as a peach. And I sure am looking forward to everyone else noticing. --Jnelson09 22:19, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

I'll tell you this, I am certainly not a make-money magnate. I am currently unemployed. --Jnelson09 22:21, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

If Homsar were here right now, I'm sure he'd say something like, "I'm the ghost of Christmas Past!" Congratulations! Homestar-Winner (talk) 00:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
So? How did you get out of the woods? ;) – The Chort 20:44, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

High five, man! That's so awesome that you got on the site! - β@®אַ0ح 04:02, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Best and Worst Toons (It's Fine)

Hey Mr.Homsar Costume. It's fine that you coppied my worst and best toons. I actually coppied that from Bad Bad Guy's userpage. Any dang way, I'm cool with coppying anything from my userpage. All in all, Homsar isn't lame. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 15:11, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
