I don't see any "Date Format" preferences in my Preferences. Is that help item outdated? --oddtodd 22:46, 17 Nov 2004 (MST)
- Yeah, it looks like these instructions are for a different version of MediaWiki. I'm pretty sure they are for the last stable release, version 1.3.7. We are using version 1.3.0beta4. -- Tom 10:28, 18 Nov 2004 (MST)

[edit] Color Signature
Right now I am trying to make my signature a corn flower blue color with the text looking something like this: ~Rebecca~ RJMT Right now in the signature box of my preferences I have entered: span style='color:#6495ed;" before ~Rebecca~ RJMT and /span after it but only ~Rebecca~ RJMT without the color, shows up. [edit] Problem with Colors
Ok, I got most of the color working, but now i have another problem. Right now my nickname looks like this: ~Rebecca~ Username: RJMT | Contributions but I'm trying to turn the link that says contributions blue. - You cannot edit the color of links that way. The color must be placed INSIDE The link. Anyway, that is the wrong sort of Contributions page. Try Special:Contributions/RJMT. --Jay (Gobble) 21:59, 1 Aug 2005 (UTC)

- Select "MySkin" as described in the article, then customize User:Strong Rad/MySkin.css to your liking. You can also customize User:Strong Rad/monobook.css in the same way. -- Tom 23:37, 15 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Okay, now I uploaded a new image of the misc. preferences tab (the second link in the title of this comment) because of the new Bytes option. It also has a better quality than Misc Prefs.PNG. However, whenever I add it to this page, Stux removes it immediatly. Why are you doing that? -- Super Martyo boing! 03:21, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm interested in unifying my username across Wikimedia projects, but I understand that I'll need to change the one I'm using here first. Can anyone give me advice on this? JLHep 00:04, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
