I'm Sad That...

Strong Sad occasionally starts a sentence with "I'm sad that...". The original quote is "I'm sad that I'm flying", and each subsequent appearance replaces one word of the original quote ("sad", the second "I'm", or most often "flying") with another word or phrase, sometimes rhyming with the original.

• Debut: Main Page 15 — Rolling over Store causes Powered by The Cheat Strong Sad to appear and say, "I'm sad that I'm flying."
• Email helium (Easter egg) — Clicking on The Cheat at the end causes Strong Sad to say, "I'm sad that he's flying."

  • When Strong Sad's shirt was featured as Item of the Week for January 20-26, 2006, Strong Sad said, "I'm sad that I'm the item of the week."
  • The tagline for the Strong Sad shirt was "I'm sad that I'm on a T-shirt."
• Weekly Fanstuff (18 January 2007) — The caption says "i'm sad that i'm a diaper."
• @strongbadactual Instagram post (27 Jul 2015) — Strong Bad posted a headless Strong Sad figurine, with its head drawn on a whiteboard behind it, captioned "I'm sad that I'm dry-erase."
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 17.2 — Strong Sad starts one of his calls by saying "I'm sad that I'm trying."
• @StrongBadActual tweet (23 Aug 2018) — Strong Bad posted a Strong Sad-like meringue with the caption "I'm sad that I'm egg whites."
