First design

Second design

The cap is an outfit from the book's storyline, not part of his actual design. June 1999 Where My Hat Is At? The points of his arms and legs are more rounded; his arms are now the same size as his legs. His eyes are now oval and white. His stripe has moved up and his stance is wider, emphasizing his round shape. Pom-Pom is drawn with a thicker outline, slightly different colors, and simple shading.
Third design

By this point, his name is written as "Pom Pom". October 1999 Marshmallow's Last Stand; Pom Pom, Too; First Flash; Old Characters Page Much of this design is closer to his first iteration than the second.

His stripe is wider and has moved back down. He stands in a narrower stance, and his legs are shorter than his arms. His eyes are now black, and his head is more of an egg shape that is slightly wider at the base. His "relaxed" positions for his arms seems to have changed. He has been redrawn with a rounder shape, lighter colors, and narrower lines.

Fourth design

April 2000 A Jumping Jack Contest; The Reddest Radish; Character Cards This design integrates elements of the prior two designs.

His stripe has moved back up, his stance is wider, his limbs are all equal length, and his head is a symmetrical pill shape. His eyes now have a small white glint. He has a thinner, consistent black outline. He is a bolder shade of yellow and his orange color is slightly adjusted; his shading is darker and less saturated.

2022 Costume Pack Now Available

Pom Pom's eyes are closer together. His outlines are colored instead of black, and the colors of his shading have been adjusted.
Sixth design

This is the current design. May 2001 Toons from A Mother's Day Message to current; various Strong Bad Emails starting with the bird; Main Page 19 His stripe has moved up a little bit. He has much more advanced shading, gaining highlights that include two circular spots on his head; his orange is a slightly different shade. His outlines now vary in thickness to enhance the shading.
