[edit] Refining the running gag
I realize that what I'm about to mention is mostly my own fault since I added a lot of these near the article's creation, but I think that we need to refine the running gag here. The repeated joke is the combination of several unlikely foods (or at least a few) into a gross concoction. The prime examples of this are Chocozuma's revenge and The Poopsmith's cake. Others, such as the Lightbulb Sandwich, don't really fit. If I could get some other users to chime in, I'd like to refine this page by removing the examples that don't fit as well:
[edit] Clear Cases
I think that these definitely fit the running joke:
- Bronco trolleys
- Suudsu
- Piemonade
- Chocozuma's Revenge
- The Poopsmith's cake
- SBLOUNSKCHED!
- The King of Town's Last Three Items in the Pantry Special!
[edit] Big Stretches
I don't think that these ones qualify, either because they don't have enough ingredients or because they're not gross enough:
- Marshmallows and maple syrup
- Marshmallows and tomatoes
- A real fruit smoothie
- Marzipan's magic brew
- Listerine in the Punch
- Lightbulb Sandwich
[edit] Questionable Cases
These ones fall somewhere in the middle; I'm not sure if they fit with the gag or not:
- Sour cream and The Cheat hair
- A gumball-and-baloney sandwich
Does anybody have any comments about my divisions? If there's agreement, I'll remove the "big stretches", and perhaps the "questionable cases". Thanks, Trey56 06:29, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- Naw, I think you done good with this page; I think all of these are concoctions. I mean, as tasty as marshmallows and tomatoes sound, {shutters} I probably wouldn't have a sudden craving for such a delicacy. As a first rule for this page, (I believe at this point in time), I think you should first ask yourself "Would I eat it?" Now, this isn't a fool-proof plan, but it's a start. Anyone else? kai lyn 14:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- A better question is, "Would I cringe and throw up if I ate it?" ;-) Real foods can't count (real fruit smoothie) or the marshmallow ones, but I think Marzipan's brew, the lightbulb sandwich, and the Poopsmith's cake should be on the page (also the questionable cases). A witch's brew is the very definition of a concoction and the other ones are just gross and inedible. I don't know if this is reliable judgment, but it's my opinion. -Brightstar Shiner 23:10, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think the real fruit smoothie is on par with the lightbulb sandwich in that the ingredients that put them on this page were the Game Boy and the lightbulbs, respectively. I guess it all depends on how you define the gag, though it sounds like most everybody's reasonably okay with it. Trey56 00:09, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Oh yeah. I forgot what the real fruit smoothie was. <grins sheepishly> Forget those two then, but I still stand my ground on the brew, cake, and questionables. You don't have to put them on the page if I'm the only one in favor, though. -Brightstar Shiner 00:17, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree about the cake, for sure, and probably about the questionables, too. Trey56
- What about the brew? -Brightstar Shiner 00:23, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm...yeah, you've got a good point about that one, too. Trey56 00:24, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Poopsmiths Super Deluxe You-Know-What Cookies
Do we actually know for sure that the You-Know-What is Whatsit? Because although it is assumed, we are never actually told for sure. CompGrl323 (talk · edits) 22:08, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- With the Poopsmith involved, and the apparent necessity to replace the actual word, I'd say the implications point right at whatsit without really saying it. Maybe "you know what" was the first term, since the quiz is really, really old. Maybe they hadn't coined the usage of "whatsit" yet. --DorianGray 22:13, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yep — I think it's a safe conclusion. Trey56 22:19, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- So should we add whatsit/The Poopsmiths Super Deluxe... to the picture list? -- 16:36, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
