[edit] Too common?

It seems like this is something that appears far too regularly to be anything special. — Defender1031*Talk 17:57, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it kind of seems like a "spoons" article to me in a way. DevonM(talk·cont-ribs) 17:58, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Same here. Bowler Hats is more specific and unique than just plain hats. Delete -- 18:16, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Actually this might be a perfect opportunity to turn this into a Research article. Unlike spoons (which are common items commonly used in various common scenarios throughout the toons), Hats are articles of clothing that, for those that do wear hats, are almost always being seen wearing them. As a result, they become a defining trait for that character (and it can seem a little strange when we see a character without their hat). Similarly this could be expanded to a Clothing article that can summarize the general attire on H*R (without going into too much excruciating detail). I'm now wondering why we've never delved into that topic beyond the Halloween articles. There is a category though. Oh... I see the following Hat related articles: Berets, Bowler Hats, Captain's Hat, Homestar Runner's Hat, and Horned Helmet. At the absolute very least we can make redirects. --Stux 18:21, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Do Headbands, Eyepatches, Wigs, and (seriously) Oven Mitts count has Headgear? --Stux 18:27, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Headbands, yes. Wigs, probably. Oven mitts would go in the "unusual" paragraph. I don't think eyepatches count, though. As for the article, I've gotten it fixed up a bit, and I think it has potential. It can serve as a hub to show representative examples of hats and other headgear and can link to the specific hat-related articles. Even though hats are common, they are presented in interesting enough ways to merit an article. Keep it. — It's dot com 18:37, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

As there's been zero discussion of deleting this since DC's revamping, it appears there's no consensus to delete it. Heimstern Läufer 09:24, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

I got 2 things to say about this article.1:It seems pretty common,so it seems like it should be longer.maybe we could expand it.2:Why not just call it "Hats?" Rondleman! Stuff I did.Talk. 21:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
