[edit] Mainspace move?

Hey there. You built up a pretty good page there. I really like the recent additions of when Homestar is ignoring and forgetting Strong Sad. How about we move this article to the main page, slap some categories on it, give it some backlinks from other articles and let others join in and help? Good working, rock rock on. Yeah, I agree that this is ready to go live. Heimstern Läufer 21:28, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ignoring...

Ignoring people doesn't really fit those instances. Each time, Homestar actually acknowledges that Strong Sad was talking, etc. Maybe a better commando name is in order? 71.90.128.212 23:10, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I thought the same thing. I actually made an edit in light of this same idea. It might be improvable. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:36, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sleeping Together

  • No Hands on Deck! — Homestar and Strong Sad sleep together, although Strong Sad later expresses regret.

Um... WHAT? I don't think it's at all appropriate to phrase this item this way. There was recently a discussion regarding sexuality on H*R and I think it's plain it does not exist. As I saw the toon, he somehow appears in the bed, there's an awkward moment, and he goes out the way he came. In no way is this "sleeping together" or is it an example of them getting along - it's a real weird scenario for Strong Sad, actually. Homestar is a little weirded out as well. This needs to be reworded to eliminate the unsupported sexual innuendo and reclassified as neither one was comfortable. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:44, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

How about we just not mention it? -Brightstar Shiner 23:49, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
I don't even think we can say they "sleep together" in the non-sexual sense, since Homestar pretty much just shows up out of Hammerspace. I don't think this is really much of a reference to their relationship at all, so I agree with Brightstar. Heimstern Läufer 23:51, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Strong bad as Homestar

Regarding this edit, after some deliberation and discussion I think these notes belong in two pages:

  • These comments belong on Strong Bad and Strong Sad's Relationship because this is supposed to be SB acting as HR towards SS a certain way.
  • These comments *also* belong on this page as it's SS *believing* HR is treating him a certain way. For reference it's a situation similar to this edit.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to type their entire names this morning. Comments, questions? --Stux 13:33, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

Again, those two are about "Homestar" (really Strong Bad)'s actions or feelings toward the other character. Since it's not really Homestar, they don't belong in sections about Homestar doing XYZ, since it wasn't Homestar doing XYZ. The edit you linked to is about Pom Pom having the feeling toward Homestar, which is still directed at Homestar despite it not actually being him. I also don't think they belong on Strong Bad's page, as they're not exactly Strong Bad perpetuating whatever aspects of his relationship with the other character. — Defender1031*Talk 13:40, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
I think you're missing a big piece of the puzzle: we don't have separate SB -> SS and SS->SB relationship articles. They cover both sides of these relationships. Whenever SB does something as HR to SS, it's SS that thinks it's H*R doing it to him, so it affects their relationship. Similarly, it also affects SB's relationship with SS since it's SB that's doing it! So it makes sense to document such actions on *both* pages! --Stux 17:05, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
I'm not talking about separate pages, I'm talking about separate sections on the pages. If a section is called "Pom Pom's annoyance with Homestar", then it belongs there, because it's still Homestar who Pom Pom thinks he's annoyed at. If a section is called "Homestar forgetting Strong Sad's existence", it doesn't belong there, because it was not actually Homestar who forgot, rather Strong Bad pretending to have forgotten. — Defender1031*Talk 17:11, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
If it's in the wrong section then why not move it to the correct section instead of deleting it outright? --Stux 17:12, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
It's not that it's in the wrong section, it's that there's no section where it does (or should, IMO) fit. — Defender1031*Talk 17:36, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
