[edit] "The Ladies"

"It has links to a game of Solitaire and images of his girls"

How do we know that "The Ladies" icon is for pictures of Pom Pom's girls and not something like a little black book? --Spanky The Dolphin 07:51, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Pom or Palm?

How is anyone sure that it isn't really a Palm Pilot? It doesn't really need to be spelled the same to be a pun.

Dunno. Turns out it looks like a PDA or something. We don't know the answer. --The 386 My talk 22:35, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Good question. I did some searching around, and the only time the Pom Pilot is actually referred to by name (on the official site) is in the bird. I isolated the quote and uploaded it so we can take a listen, and it's really too close to tell. I do hear "Palm Pilot", but "Palm" and "Pom" are so close to each other in terms of pronunciation that I don't think we'll be able to tell the difference.
It's difficult to explain in terms of consistency, too - Compy 386 and Lappy 486 are both fictional names for types of computers, but Tandy was a real computer line, and Tangerine Dreams doesn't count because that's a name specific to The Cheat's computer. At the time the bird was released, Strong Bad was still using the Tandy 400, so it stands to reason that it could have been an actual Palm Pilot. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 22:52, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Look at it closely. What does it say in small letters at the top-left? "pom". It's a Pom Pilot. — It's dot com 23:02, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, you'we pwobabwy wight. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 23:03, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Couldn't Pom-Pom have just put his name on it? Plus, uh, there's pretty much no phonetic difference between Pom and Palm.--Robert Benedicio 23:27, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
That actually depends on your regional dialect. In some areas you can tell the difference. 204.249.66.42 00:55, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Why come listed in SB's computers?

It belongs to Pom Pom, not StongBad.

It was recently removed from that template, but I'm not convinced it should have been. I don't think its presence on that template was meant to mean that it belongs to SB, but only that it's been used by him (note the wording "other computers" and the fact that the Corpy, which presumably belongs to SB's company, not SB himself, is listed there). Heimstern Läufer 05:29, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
The Cheat's computers aren't on that template, and SB has used those a couple of times. The way I see it, this should be for computers that are presumably used primarily by SB, whether he owns them or not, though, I wouldn't complain TOO much if it's for computers he's ever used, provided that tangerine dreams and such were added. — Defender1031*Talk 16:20, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
