[edit] Voice tube labeled "Poopsmith"

About the voice tube labeled "Poopsmith," he did speak in different town. Sure that was in Strong Bad's imagination, but he did have a definite voice then, so it would make sense for them to have a Poopsmith tube. However, in the fun facts it says that the PS's voice is yet to be heard. Shouldn't this be corrected? --Ogog

No, the fun fact is correct. Strong Bad's imaginings don't count. — InterruptorJones[[]] 22:05, 10 Jan 2005 (MST)
But he sang in email thunder. - rct2guy 23:27, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
please note that this thread is almost five years old. email thunder came out barely a year ago, which was almost four years after the dvd was released. The Knights Who Say Ni 23:45, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Do they really use tubes?

Do they really use tubes?? LOL. I want the homestar one. --67.175.54.253 11:47, 1 Feb 2005 (MST)

Of course they don't. Matt does vocal work by himself without help from any confounded contraptions. --Gafaddict 00:19, 14 Feb 2005 (MST)

[edit] Proof

Even though that it is fake which makes it dumb, the humor makes up for it. But this is not at all how they do the voices. I have lots of proof: (1)If you watch the making of the 100th email on the DVD, it shows Matt doing some voice sessions. (2)In some puppet stuff as an easter egg on the DVD, it shows a brief shot of Matt accually doing Homestar's voice while holding the puppet. (3) This shows Matt doing a tube-voiced Marzipan, when it clearly says that Missy does Marzipan's voice in every single toon that includes Marzipan.

There are many other references as proof, but it would take all day to name every single one. Clearly, this was just a gag. Posted by Martin F. 6/19/05

[edit] I can't imagine...

I can't imagine anyone actually thinking they do the voices with cardboard tubes... Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 00:41, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

No need to freak out about this. It was supposed to be funny. Besides what about all those public appearances where Matt does the voices sans cardboard tubes? Proof enough. --mibluvr13dígame 00:48, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Where?

Wait so this is some special feature from a DVD? Which one? It should really say that somewhere in the article. --arrow4.PNG~Rebecca~ RJMT speaker-noise.gif 01:06, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

How about the fact that it's in the DVD category? --DorianGray
Yeah but which one? --arrow4.PNG~Rebecca~ RJMT speaker-noise.gif 01:12, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Obvious Jab?

The author of this page suggests that "The Homeschool Winner quip is an obvious jab at how various Homestar Runner fansites have made such a big deal out of such an obscure character." I do not find TBC's reference to Homeschool Winner a "jab" at any fansites, much less an obvious one. The author's comment seems a little unobjective and self-aggrandizing for recognizing Homeschool Winner's name and subsequent demise as a character. I would delete the comment, but I don't mess with other people's articles. Komo 20:11, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why would they get rid of this?

Why would the Brother chaps get rid of Bubs, i mean he's not a bad character, right?

Nikolce Kocovski 12:16, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

It was a joke... --phlip TC 12:27, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reference to QOTW

Hi, I'm new to HRWiki, but I realized that the quotation Bubs says is the quote of the week for January 27, 2005. Is this something worth adding into the article? Thanks :)

[edit] Exclusive?

Hey, if you go to the youtube section it says that this is exclusive on youtube, even though it is on either the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5th SB dvd....

I don't see anything saying that this was a youtube exclusive. The description i see is "Mike and Matt Chapman give a behind the scenes look at how Matt does the character voices." — Defender1031*Talk 04:30, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, not quite sure what you're saying. But if you're referring to the page on this wiki called YouTube, it says that this toon was formerly DVD-exclusive. It is not YouTube-exclusive. It never has been, and we know it. (The description on this toon's actual YouTube page doesn't mention it as exclusive either.) --DorianGray 04:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Maybe he misread "External" as "Exclusive"? --Jay (Talk) 08:40, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
I believe that this was referring to the [1] page, were it does in fact say exclusive.
