Talk:Strong Sad and The Cheat's Relationship
From Homestar Runner Wiki
[edit] Merge with SS and or TC
I think this should be merged with Strong Sad and The Cheat. I mean, What do you think? The Goblin!! 05:33, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Um, have you ever seen the Character Relationships articles? There are tons of them, just check the catagory, those ones deserve their space, why not this one? Anyway, you can't merge it into a character page, too long, and it would need to be in both, and we know that duplicating info is a no-no. KEEP.--~ SlipStream 07:21, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, but there are many character relationships out there. See Category talk:Character Relationships. But, I say Delete. Sam the Man 11:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think Strong Sad and The Cheat have a strong enough relationship to merit an article. They don't especially hate or like each other and don't seem to work together frequently. In fact, they aren't really seen together often either. 11 relationship articles are enough. DELETE. – The Chort 13:16, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

- Yeah, I don't think there's enough of an established relationship between the two for a separate article about the topic. Most of the appearances in the bullying section seem to be instances in which The Cheat is obeying Strong Bad's orders, which is more about The Cheat's relationship with Strong Bad than his relationship with Strong Sad. Other than that, they don't interact any more than any other two random characters. So, I agree that this article should be deleted. Trey56 22:50, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- This page is at least as good as this, it shows good examples of Strong Sad and The Cheat getting along, even though if it was up to Strong Bad, they would hate each other.--~ SlipStream 06:49, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Techgeekmbg. Merging this article with Strong Sad and The Cheat sounds like a pretty good idea. --Particleman24 21:53, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- To me, this page is quite interesting and informative. I don't find the relationship between these two characters as insubstantial or uninteresting as others in this discussion have suggested. The inconsistency of the relationship, with the two frequently acting as enemies, but sometimes as friends or at least allies, makes it quite worth an article to me. - Just to be clear, I think we should not delete this article. Heimstern Läufer 19:01, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think we should keep it too, although there are so many character relationship pages already... Religious Corn 22:12, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- We have established a series of relationship articles; if there is enough information to flesh out an article, then I see no reason to move that information from a central article to somewhere less obvious; I think the primary criterion for the existence of any one article is quantity of information (in other words, the only thing that should prevent us from having articles for all the character pairs is enough interesting information to fill them). Thus, merging the information with other articles is kind of out of the question. If it's good info, then keep this article. If not, then the whole thing should go. That said, the whole thing should go. I agree with Trey56. The Cheat is just Strong Bad's lackey in the bullying section and the instances of their getting along are not that notable. — It's dot com 23:20, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think we are ging somewhat overboard on these character relationships. I say that this is not a big enough referenced gag, so I'm going to have to say delete. I'm not sure we should keep KoT's and SB's relationship either. Homestar-Winner (talk) 17:19, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Let's keep it, but merge it into Strong Sad- he is the one that is "bullied" around by The Cheat. Title it "Relationship with The Cheat", or something to this effect. This might be a good idea for all other minor character relationships (in this case, mainly on Strong Sad's part). --Chiron 01:13, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm assuming this discussion is closed now, based on the recent infrequency of posts. We could not reach a consensus here, and I would argue that the "merge" votes should be counted as "keep" votes anyway, as it would not make sense to merge this information in both or only one of the two articles. This means that about half of the editors are in favour of keeping this information on the wiki. Loafing 01:47, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Two characters interacting in a toon does not make a relationship page. I can't see a way to move the info to any other page, do I say a good hard Delete on this one. For those people who said to move this info to the character pages, I ask you, how? It's not a trait to both Strong Sad nor The Cheat. They one time worked together and one time we heard that they play a board game. This is nothing notable. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:13, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Keep is my opinion. This character relationship is just as important as any of the others. 20X6 GEM 18:53, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
