[edit] nice

Hi Jeff. Just wanted to say nice work catching that referance on th "other loading" screen. I tried to find one for 50 k racewalker, but never did. Nice! — talk Bubsty edits 17:02, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

  • Yeah, but it's only obvious if you've ever played that game. My God, it gets real old real, real, real, real fast. Just doing what I can. --Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs)hr.png 10:10 13 November 2005 (Mountain Standard Time)

[edit] After this, it's just annoying...

Sup Jeff. Look, I've been slightly put into a state of misery, so, I was wondering if you could stop by my guestbook and change your comment about me being your "main man." (read the "update" I made in red at the top of the page) teeeffoh! 19:08, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Reply!

Thanks for your input! I've made several of the requested changes to my page and have put a couple of your quotes on there as well. I appreciate your feedback. If you have any other problems or suggestions, I'm always ready to listen. Thanks again.--Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif 18:17, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

Hey, you've read America? That's awesome!

Of course, America is exactly like The Daily Show, only in mock text book form. I've also read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (along with its sequels) and I love them dearly. Haven't seen the movie though, I'm afraid it won't live up to my expectations. I do love how the description of The Guide's inner workings is ridiculously similar to how the Wiki works. Delicious. ---Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs)hr.png 02:56, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

The movie isn't as good as the book, but it's not exactly bad either. It's a lot different, too. I guess that on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it about a 6.

Yeah, then I'd probably prefer the book any way. ---Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs)hr.png 16:53, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] ????

You've read the Halo books? That's cool. Did you know that there's a Halo Wiki? It's relatively small right now, but I think that it's cool. I'n know there as John 117. You should check it out.--Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif 16:32, 23 December 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, sure, I'll check it out. Post me the URl, OK? ---Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs)hr.png 18:49, 23 December 2005 (UTC)
Sorry its taken a while. The url is: http://www.halopedia.org. Enjoy.Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif

[edit] Signature

By the way, Jeff, your user name starts with a capital letter. Your signature is located at User:Houdin654jeff/sig. — It's dot com 00:53, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

While we're bringing up signature standards, I just thought I'd point out that not only is there a horizontal limit, but a vertical limit of one line for sigs. Thunderbird 21:02, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Oh, ok. Sorry. I've just been writing Keep on Tranglin' to eveyone anyway, so I thought it would be easier to include it in my signature. Sorry again.

--Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs)hr.png 21:38, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

No biggie. Just especially right now, we're about to implement new signature standards, and if you let one user do it, then you have to let everyone. That could lead to very large talk pages...  ;) Thunderbird 21:46, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Totally understandable. Having thought that through, it now makes little sense to me. Similar to emails with multiple fwds and re:s in the title, why bother with all that extra crap? That's why we have user profiles, I guess.

[edit] Re: STUFF vote

I'm answering the question you posted on the talk page for the the STUFF item from rock opera (we tend not to actually use talk pages that correspond to STUFF pages). So, anyway, read It's dot com's essay on this page (you'll have to scroll down quite a while to get there; it's the one that starts with "You guys are making this too complicated.") Yeah, I know. Really freakin' long discussion. :-) But anyway, the first few sentences tell you the basic rules for when we tend to close STUFF items. In this case, I would guess that the item will close very soon, since it looks like it will be accepted by more than a five to one ratio. (Of course, that could change.) Anyway, I hope that helps a little. Heimstern Läufer 00:15, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

Except in rare cases, I try to keep everything open at least a day. I actually wanted this one to stay open a little longer so that it could get more support. In other words, 15–0 (or even 15–2) is more impressive than 9–0, and no one would have any room to question it later. But, yeah, soon. — It's dot com 00:21, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
P.S. I changed that link above so that it pointed directly to my reply on that page. — It's dot com
Wow, now that's handy. I already knew that putting # then the sub-heading will jump you there, but how exactly does "DC" get you to a certain point in the conversation? Thunderbird 00:02, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
I gave an ID to an empty span (like this: <span id="DC"></span>) so that I could locate the section using the # symbol. "DC" just stands for "Dot com", or perhaps "Dot com's eloquent and witty comments". — It's dot com 00:22, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] On by whenever

Hey Jeff. You told me to drop by whenever, so here I am. Hi! LePorello / T / C 19:30, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

What's up LePorello? Thanks for stopping by. Your quiz was incredibly difficult. I couldn't do it from memory. Anyway, thanks again for stopping by. Um.....Trick or Treat! --Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs)hr.png 23:59, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

Just a heads up, that today we implemented our new signature standards. Below is your current signature, with the blue box being the maximum length allowed. As you can see, it's quite a bit past the maximum. If you could find a way to pear it down a bit, such as with <small> or tags, or different wording or images, I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to fit it inside the box. Thanks alot, Thunderbird 00:58, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Just BARELY.... That should work, huh?

--Jeff J. W.(Talk·Contribs)hr.png 17:06, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
That's well within the limits, thanks. Thunderbird 20:11, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
