[edit] Welome
Welcome Hrjcm! What's your name mean? Any dang way, give me questions here if you need it. Happy Wiki Huntings, Sam the Man 17:20, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Signature
HRjcm, I really don't think you should make your signature look exactly like that of our proprietor except with your name. That "joey" sign has been practically his trademark here for a long time, and your using the signature tends to frequently confuse me into thinking he's posted somewhere. Besides, wouldn't you rather be creative and come up with your own signature? Heimstern Läufer 01:22, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm just saving it here until the fanstuff wiki comes back up. Then, I'll change my sig here to something more original. JCM 22:13, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Some advice from an old man
Hi, HRjcm. Regarding this edit: yes, the message had to be left, and thanks for doing so. But consider, he just joined a few days ago. Our ways are strange to him, and from the tone of his post on Optimistic Fool's talk, he's never been on a wiki before in all likelihood. "This is a warning" was, I think, a little too far to the "stern" approach. People talk like that on forums and websites all across the Internet, and on a wiki we assume ignorance rather than malice. Another wiki saying to remember is "Don't bite the newbies," BTW.
Don't get me wrong, I am glad someone pointed this out to him. But even old veteran HRWikier Qermaq here doesn't give warnings. If a sysop thinks one is merited - and let's face it, they're the ones who can back it up, not us - they can go ahead. But for something as benign as this, just pointing out the way we do things here is enough for a first offense.
Thanks for playing our game, and don't forget to get your pets spayed or neutered. - Qermaq - (T/C) 02:21, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- Just to follow up on what Qermaq said: Regarding this edit summary, it's easy for someone to accidentally post the same new subject on a talk page if there's a lag anywhere from the user's computer to the server. A simple "rm duplicate post" is all that is needed. Keep on tranglin'. — It's dot com 02:38, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
[edit] IRC
Why aren't you ever on IRC? Raiku
- He's ALWAYS on :| Ivoj Nob(HAP-E*HOLIDAYS) 02:41, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
- I just don't do much on there. And which IRC channel are you talking about? JCM 11:28, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your comment on Marzie500's talk page
I wanted to let you know that on IRC, Dot com has looked and saw they're not the same IP address. They're not even the same geographical regions. So, that was entirely unnecessary and cruel. — MichaelXX2 21:39, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- I wasn't talking about Ninja Pom Pom, if that's who you were talking about. I was talking about Felixa500. JCM 21:48, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
[edit] fanstuff
Hey there, HRjcm. I have deleted your fanfiction page. Pages like this aren't OK on the knowledgebase. Please check out or policy. Thank you. Loafing 22:03, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Weeblpedia
Have you considered moving it to Referata? It has an interface that lets you configure stuff. Dagoth 00:20, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- Dagoth, have you considered telling him that on Weeblpedia instead of HRWiki? This clearly has nothing to do with this wiki. Loafing 00:23, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
- Also, Wikia does good enough for me. I really don't trust referata, as it's new and all, while Wikia has outlasted any other host. Plus, you wouldn't even know what Referata was if I didn't introduce it to everyone (which I really regret right now), so please don't try to reintroduce to me. JCM 00:26, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Changes to your sig
Hey there JCM. I changed your sig to the basic blue link version, mainly because you were hotlinking to imageshack, which has recently begun displaying their own "a-restricted" image for certain systems and certain countries, and was breaking pages. That said, there were a couple other problems with your signature. According to policy:
- Your signature must include a text version of your username, with a link to your user page. — yours had an image version.
- Your signature must include a text version of your username, with a link to your user page. — Though not explicit, this implies a link to your user page here, not on the fanstuff wiki.
Hope that helps. — Defender1031*Talk 00:42, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- One of the reasons that imageshack is doing this, is so that they can force people who have blocked adservers (via adblock, hosts file, etc.) to see a "Server not found page" due to purpose redirection from imageshack to the adserver before you're allowed to view the imageshack file itself. From this point forward, I recommend imgur. ColdReactive 21:08, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
