[[The Brothers Chaps]] have made several references in the [[Homestar Runner (body of work)|Homestar Runner]] body of work to the series, especially both [[Wikipedia:Doom (video game)|the first game in the series]] and {{pl|l=http://doomwiki.org/wiki/Cacodemon cacodemons}}, the floating one-eyed demon foes that appear in the game. They also make several references to WADs.  A .WAD file is a data file for the Doom Engine that is normally a mod made by one or more fans that includes new maps, weapons, etc.  The Brothers Chaps use this extension for random programs.
