Easter Eggs

Shouldn't someone include the Easter Eggs? I myself have not found any of them, but there may still be some. chapien (approved by Homsar!) 18:42, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Big Toon

Shouldn't it be noted that this is the first big toon since 2007? I think that's kind of improtant...

I suppose it's a bit notable, but I'm not sure it merits a mention on the page. The gap between A Dumpy Tale and Weclome Back was similar (11 months), but is not mentioned anywhere on the pages. DevonM(talk·cont-ribs) 19:59, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Cape Tedaverill?

There have been a couple of (admittedly poorly worded) attempts to put on the page the fact that the name Ted Averill is a play on Canaveral. I have to say I'm inclined to agree, considering the space launch connection and all. Does anyone else feel similarly? (Though I note that this is not the only place where the name appears, so I don't know if this is the best place to note it). -132.183.151.26 01:51, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

The first time he appears, it's said in such a way that no one would make the connection, so i'm inclined to say no. Also, it's a poor rhyme. If that was their intention, they could do so much better. — Defender1031*Talk 01:53, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

I also happen to think it's a reference. The sound-alike quality is definitely more pronounced in Career Day, but I think it's clear enough in Space Program as well. I know there's no way to prove it, but I remember making that connection the first time I saw Space Program; I just never got around to checking its wiki entry.Some kind of scientist 18:33, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

McWhat Nebula?

I'm hearing McCow-Pie Nebula rather than McAlpine Nebula. No? It's funnier. User:Funhaver

I think the "Mc" and the "Al" sounds are blending together to get the "McCow" sound. It sounded somewhat like that when I watched it, too. --DorianGray 03:46, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Buck the System

It's probably just because I am a huge SOAD fan, but when Strong bad said "Bucking the System" I instantly thought of the System of a Down song "F*ck the System." Anyone else think this? Space: Defined by Scientists as the...

When Strong Bad says this while in the shows the space capsule, I believe the way he says this is a refrence to "Space: The Final Frontier", from Star Trek. Should someone add this to the page as a refrence?

Blowin' in the Wind

A fact that's been removed from the page several times now involves the fan, which is being used similarly to in magic trick. Looks like a valid fact to me — it's basically the same joke, using the fan to make clothes blow around dramatically — but what do you say? --Jay (Talk) 16:39, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

It's you. As noted above in a different section, "buck the system" is a common phrase with no etymological relation to the rhyming cuss word. -Alun Clewe 20:20, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Miles and miles of the spaceman styles...

The chin-curlies on Space Captainface's..er...face struck me as being similar to that of Buzz Lightyear. Most likely a case of TTATOT, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

I would agree with that; Captain Quark from the Ratchet and Clank games has the same sort of buttchin.

For lack of a better title

I noticed while watching for the 18th time today that Strap's toothpick goes through his gerbil ball... thing while in space. Why isn't this a Goof? -Corruption (logged in = 0)

Alright, this is a SERIOUS double-standard.

Let me get this straight - there's an entire ARTICLE dedicated to instances of Strong Bad smiling (a fairly common occurrence), a mention of the Poopsmith singing on-screen, and heck - even a mention of Homestar making a (borderline) grammatical error, but there's no mentioning the very first time Homsar unambiguously laughs at something?

What the heck are these sections FOR if not for pointing out something noteworthy and out of the ordinary? Homsar is a character that's known for being seemingly oblivious to what's going on around him (albeit in a ambivalent sort of way), so this is a COMPLETE departure for him as a character. To suggest anything else is nothing short of absurd. The mention of this unprecedented event should stay, or at the very LEAST be put up for a vote. 0rion 22:59, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
