The 20X6 version of Pom Pom is Pan Pan. Pan Pan seems to be a takeoff on the obligatory anime animal mascot, though in Under Construction he acted more or less like Pom Pom. Like the other forms of Pom Pom, he doesn't speak in English, and he instead speaks in a sort of strange "boinging" noise. Pan Pan falling on 1-Up appears to be a running gag.
Like most other 20X6 characters, getting the appropriate pill in the Scrolling Shooter Games Menu will reveal Pan Pan. Here, Pan Pan opens his mouth to talk instead of boinging.
