Store Template
I made a template idea:
Store |
---|
Main Store Page | T-Shirts | Hooded Sweatshirts | Baby Clothes | Accessories | | CD/DVDs | iPhone/iPad | Mugs | Posters | Playsets & Toys! |
- Not bad!!! Though, the "Main Store Page" should actually just be hyperlinked to the "Store" at the top like the Yahoo Store template. Also, there's an extra line between the Accessories and the CD/DVDs -

Old Store vs. New Store Organization
Hi all,
I have a concern regarding the subpages for the old and new stores. While I think it was the right idea to separate the current Store page and the Yahoo Store page I don't think it's the right approach for its subpages. The reason for that is that many pages already link to existing content in the subpages and that may break a lot of things. With that in mind I think we have two options:
- Reuse the current subpages for both old and new content. Have sections that separate the old Yahoo store and new store and discontinued content. Maybe even separate the Yahoo Store Discontinued content and New Store Discontinued content. This is my preferred solution.
- Turn the subpages into disambiguation pages and create both Yahoo Store and Shopify Store subpages. This would break any anchor links that may point to the subpages (there may be none but I don't know for sure).
- Create separate Shopify subpages and leave the current ones alone (link the current ones to the new ones via diambiguation templates).
So, I would like to discuss these two... erm... three options and gauge people's opinions. We could also ignore those links and just move the pages in question but I'm a little reluctant to do that. Fortunately we only have to worry about a subset of all the store subpages, namely:
EDIT: I restored some content so that it is not lost and modified the page to more or less resemble suggestion #1. If it's acceptable we can repeat the same on the other pages, otherwise it should be modified pending further discussion. --Stux 07:41, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
