Jones is used in various contexts in Homestar Runner universe. The surname "Jones", one of the most common last names in the United States, is used in naming generic characters. The slang term "Jones", referring to an intense craving, is also used by the characters. The terms may even be conflated, as is the case with Mashed Potato Jones.
