The Brothers Chaps have made many references to both the heavy metal parody band Spinal Tap and the movie about them in some of their cartoons.

- Sweet Cuppin' Cakes is likely a reference, as "Cups and Cakes" is the name of a Spinal Tap song.
- Fortune Cookies — One fortune reads "Have a good time, all the time". This is also a quote from the movie.
- Arcade Game — The page title, "Quite Exciting this Computer Magic!" is a quote from the movie.
- Email death metal (DVD commentary) — Strong Bad compares the drummer of Brainkrieg to Joe Mama Besser.
