Allusions to video games, especially those of the 8-bit era, are constantly being made within the Homestar Runner body of work. This is a list of all references to video games made in the cartoons.

Strong Bad Email

  • homestar hair - Strong Bad goes to play "Temple of Apshai" as respite from the email.
  • duck pond - Strong Bad brings up a Duck Pond simulation game.
  • japanese cartoon - The credits to the 20X6 cartoon are lifted from Legend of Zelda for the NES.
    • One of the easter eggs for japanese cartoon shows a list of endings to NES games, including games such as Legend of Zelda, Super Mario World, and Metroid.
  • 2 emails - Strong Bad plays Pigs on Head during the fast-forward.
