The Cheat is loyal to Strong Bad for many reasons.  In [[privileges]], The Cheat apparently earns points for doing things that amuse Strong Bad, and when he gets enough points, he earns extra privileges (e.g. use of the mute button).  As well, according to Strong Bad, in his e-mail entitled [[lackey]], The Cheat thinks that pencil shavings are legal tender. However, The Cheat took the shavings in that e-mail and tricked Bubs into accepting them as legal tender.  Furthermore, it does seem that Strong Bad coerces The Cheat into being his lackey to a certain extent.
