A special case is "señor"/"senor", which is said and written frequently and seems to be mispronounced and misspelled randomly, but with an amusing consistency. For example, the name of the obsolete character Señor has been spelled properly (with the tilde) each time it has appeared in print. It has also always been pronounced correctly (as "seh-nyor"), by both Strong Bad and the King of Town, proving that Strong Bad does indeed know how to pronounce "Señor", as recently as the email origins.
The first mention of the name Senor Cardgage, by Strong Sad, was also pronounced this way. However, Strong Bad then pronounced it as "seh-nor", and has been doing so ever since. He also persistently spells it without the tilde. This spelling and pronunciation have become standard for all of Senor Cardgage's later appearances, as though Senor were his name rather than a title. Cardgage himself uses this pronunciation, and it even spawned a spoof holiday, Senorial Day.
At this point, Strong Bad seems to have forgotten that he ever knew how to pronounce Señor. His mispronunciation continued when he referred to a depiction of himself in his made-up pop-up book as "Senor Muybueno". Given Strong Bad's vaguely Mexican heritage, it's an ironic trend.
