Keep?

Clapping is common both in the real world and in music. Now, quirky cases of clapping, such as Clapping Party, might be worth making this page for, but I can only think of one potential other case of that: army. Thoughts? --Jay (Gobble) 22:44, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

"just the claps" is another good one... still i agree, this page should go. — Defender1031*Talk 22:45, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Yup. Nothing special here. —BazookaJoe 18:58, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Or at the very least, not enough that's special, nor any particular thread to unify the article. Heimstern Läufer 19:00, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
This isn't very good. And that's coming from me. --Jnelson09 19:51, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't really think this page should be here. Why on earth was it created?Religious Corn   20:44, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
There are lots of verbs. Really. Lots of 'em. Take "chasing" for example. Way more instances of chasing than there are of clapping. So, to use the words of the Review Revue, this page "misses the mark!" (And, hey, maybe "chasing" deserves a page. I mean, I'm not going to make it. I'm just saying, you know.. someone could. Yeah. Someone could.) OptimisticFool 21:31, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Delete. See HRWiki:Spoons. Homestar-Winner (talk) 21:39, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, unfortunately clapping is a very common action and doesn't warrant a separate page. Trey56 21:41, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Give it a chance

I put this up again because I didn't see it get deleted so I couldn't defend it. Please give it another chance. Though I could understand TTATO or whatever that's called Super!SantanaDuper! 23:52, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

It's spoons, and i don't see how you sould have missed it seeing as how you were the one who originally created it... — Defender1031*Talk 23:54, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

More specific?

What about Clapping to the Beat or Clapping (running gag)? Super!SantanaDuper! 23:55, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Naw. Changing the name would not change the fact that this page is too general. Homestar-Winner (talk) 23:58, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Neither is more specific... the first is just adding words, the second is adding a disambig title, which is unnecessary. — Defender1031*Talk 23:59, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
But we could make it a less general topic. EX. "Spoons" vs. "Wooden Spoons". Right? Super!SantanaDuper! 00:01, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
"Clapping" vs. "notable instances of clapping"? Naw. — Defender1031*Talk 00:03, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
...And the first one is NOT just adding words. It IS making a less general page topic. And what's with everyone saying "naw"? It's kind of funny. Super!SantanaDuper! 00:05, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
More like "Clapping" vs. "In Sync Clapping". Super!SantanaDuper! 00:07, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Still, no (naw). It doesn't work. Homestar-Winner (talk) 00:09, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Again, clapping to a beat or in sync, or however you want to phrase it would first of all rule out clapping party, secondly it's still too general an action... like... no one's going to say that "walking" deserves a page, nor would they say "walking to the left" deserves a page. You see my point? — Defender1031*Talk 00:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
lol Now I'm starting to think that you guys are only being contradictory to be stubborn, not to prove a point. So do me a favor and imagine my point of view. really think about it. We know Clapping is a good idea but too broad. Why don't we try to solve the problem so that everyone is happy, instead of just saying "naw" to everything. Super!SantanaDuper! 00:16, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
Oh. I get your point. But Clapping is less general than walking. Super!SantanaDuper! 00:16, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
