X for Brains

"Crap for Brains" (occasionally rendered as crap-for-brains) is an insult frequently used by Strong Bad, especially in the relatively early days of Homestar Runner. Occasional variations on the phrase declare the target has something else undesirable for brains, or insult another body part.

Appearances

• The Luau — Strong Bad carefully fills out everyone's name tag with "crap for brains".
  • A nametag at the end reads "the end for brains".
• In Search of the Yello Dello Commentary — Strong Bad suggests that Coach Z is a "crap for brains".
• Homestar Quiz — If the player gets one or two questions wrong, Strong Bad points out, "I knew you had crap for brains, but, I mean, it's like the crap in your brains has crap for brains."
• Yearbook Character Page — The Poopsmith's page describes Strong Bad as saying the Poopsmith has "crap for brains", albeit pointing out that Strong Bad calls everyone "crap for brains".
• Strong Bad 404 Error Page — Strong Bad accuses Homestar Runner of being a "stupid crap for brains webmaster".
• Email dictionary — Homestar looks up "crap for brains", "carp for brains", and "brain for brains" in a dictionary; all three terms advise the reader to also see one of the others. Similarly, "zawesome" is "defined" with "see crap-for-brains".

Variations

• The House That Gave Sucky Treats — If given a marshmallow bunny, Strong Bad will call the viewer a "lazy crap for crap" for handing out old Easter candy.
• Email invisibility — Strong Bad calls Strong Mad "brain for brains".
• Email personal favorites — The Grape-Nuts Robot, attempting to imitate Strong Bad, asks the user to spell "carp for brains".
• Email road trip — Strong Bad refers to Homestar as "Officer Cheese-for-butt".
• Hremail 7 —
  • Strong Bad refers to Homestar as "crap for ears" and "crap for nose", even though Homestar appears to have neither feature.
  • He calls Strong Sad "crap for mouth".
